FOUNDATION SCHOOL EXCELLENCE PROGRAM
The Objective of the Foundation School Excellence Program is to ensure that EVERY First Timer to ANY Church in
the Zone/ Ministry Centre has access to PROMPT and MINISTRY Standard Foundation School leading to graduates
that are disciples of our message.

As good intentioned as our Foundation School Program is, if left to the individual Church Pastors and
Coordinators, many will not participate as they should because of constraints of size, classroom venue or
teachers.

DESIGN OF THE FOUNDATION SCHOOL EXCELLENCE PROGRAM

1. The Group Pastor is effectively the Principal of the Foundation School and owner of the Excellence Plan.
All other Officers are helpers.

2. The Group Pastor will investigate and devise a pragmatic Foundation School Operational Plan for the
Group that provides access for EVERY First Timer, to any Church in the Group. Part of the Plan will include
organizing the classes in subgroup or group centers for better coverage, pooling of teachers, provision of
multiple class dates for attendance flexibility, and provision of make-up classes for the inevitable missed
classes.

In addition, 2 vital roles the Group Pastor must perform include:

1. Training and Selection of the Foundation School Teachers in the Group

2. Hosting a get-acquainted with all prospective Graduates at least 1 week before the Graduation, to vet
their readiness and suitability for graduation (a vetting check list is available). This has become necessary
because a graduate from Foundation School in any of our Churches, is considered a Ministry graduate for
life. He or she will not be expected to attend Foundation School again. This means that the local Church
hosting the Foundation School must understand that it is on behalf of the Ministry and hence must be to
Ministry Standard. A vetting by the senior Pastor in a group of Churches is therefore needful.

acquainted with assessments ahead of the final exams. The final exam
question should not exceed 50 questions
Graduation After the last class (7th week) the Students are scheduled for
examination, dress rehearsals and Graduation. All class work,
examination and associated activities leading up to the graduation
ceremony should be concluded a week before graduation f o r a
seamless, inspiring and impactful ceremony

FOUNDATION SCHOOL CURRICULUM

CLASS 1: THE NEW CREATION

INTRODUCTION
The new creation seeks to explain by divine revelation the nature and life of the new man in Christ, the effect of
the regenerative power of Christ in his spirit, soul and body.
OBJECTIVES: At the end of this class, the participant must have a deep rooted understanding of their place in
Christ, an excellent life that knows no defeat.
TEXT: 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:10 (Amp); Galatians 6:15
Memory Verse: 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a NEW CREATURE: old things are
passed away; behold all things are become new.
i. This is the cardinal point, that is, he is totally new, never existed or pre-existed.
ii. His new kind of life comes directly from God of which he is born of God. (John1:12–13, 1John 5:4)
iii. Salvation is by Grace: Ephesians 2:4-5; Romans 3:24
Note: No one qualified us and no man can disqualify us. Our past is over. We have received abundance
of grace to enjoy the beautiful life in Christ(Romans 5:17). All we have to do is to receive it by faith. Through
faith in Christ we stand justified and acquainted (Romans 5:1-2)
iv. Assurance of Salvation: Two things that prove the certainty of our Salvation are:
(a) The word of God: Romans 10:9-10, 1John 5:11-13
(b) The witness of the Holy Spirit: Romans 8:16
Our feelings has nothing to do with this, there is an inner witness that we are born again.
v. Sin has been dealt with:
(a) Remission of sin for the un-regenerated that is the unbelievers (Acts2:38; Mathew26:28; Ephesians
1:7). Remission of sins is the absolute washing away of sins without any more trace. We got this by
the death of Christ on the cross.
(b) Forgiveness of sins is for the regenerated that is the Christians (Titus3:5, Ephesians1:7), so if you sin,
quickly obtain forgiveness (1john 1:9; 1John 2:1).
vi. Fruits of the recreated man: - Note that man is a spirit; he has a soul and lives in a body. (1Thessalonians
5:23; Job4:19; 10:11). It is the spirit that got born again, that’s why he can relate with God 1Corinthians
6:17. And by feeding on the word of God his spirit is renewed (Matthew4:4). This renewal takes place in
our minds (soul). The soul is the processing center of man. It is the door way of the spirit. Man’s thought
resides here. Our actions are as a result of our thought (Romans 12:1-3). What happens here affects our
spirit as well as our body. We must bring our body under subjection (Colossians 3:5-10). As we worship God
in spirit and truth we can now bear the fruits of the recreated human spirit found in Galatians 5:22-23. And
the following will be our everyday realities.
a. The new creation is complete in Christ. Colossians 2:9-10
b. He has eternal life John3:16, 5:24; 2Timothy 1:9-10; 1John 5:11-12
c. He now lives in Zion. Hebrews 12:22-24; Colossians 1:13; John 17:14
d. He sits in the place of power. Ephesians 1:19-23; Ephesians 2:6
e. He is Gods address. Colossians 1:27; Ephesians 2:21-22; 1Corinthians 6:19
f. He is God extension Jeremiah 51:20-22; Acts 1:8
Conclusion: As a new creation I belong to the family of God. I have the exact kind of relationship Jesus has with
the father, never again will I be sense ruled because my salvation is by grace no one qualified me and no one can
disqualify me. My life is now that of continuous victory and success.

TODAY’S CONFESSIONS:
“I am a new creation. I may look the same outside but the truth is that I am completely new inside, in my spirit.
Therefore, I now live my life from the inside. I have the divine nature of God in my spirit. I am the righteousness
of God in Christ Jesus”
CLASS 2: THE HOLY SPIRIT
INTRODUCTION
The Holy Spirit is God himself, without Him no one can live the Christian life. The presence of the Holy Spirit
makes the difference very clear between Christianity and other religions. His presences make us effective witness
of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
OBJECTIVES: At the end of this class, the participants will be fully acquainted with the person of the Holy Spirit
and all He seeks to accomplish in us.
Also those that are not yet filled with the Holy Spirit should be filled.
1 Who is the Holy Spirit? God revealed Himself in three entities – God the father, God the son and God the
Holy Spirit. This is the Godhead that is God in three persons the Blessed Trinity. The Holy Spirit is God Himself.
He is the first personality in the Godhead because He is the first to be revealed. From Gen1:1-2, in the
beginning “Elohim” plural for God. The spirit of God hovered over the waters. He is the Allos Parakletos i.e.
Another Comforter of the same kind (John 14:16-20).
2 Holy Ghost Ministry in the believer: Act 1:8, John 1:12 without the Holy Spirit we can do nothing.
3 Seven Synonyms of the Holy Spirit: This refers to who the Holy Spirit is to the Christian.
a. Comforter (John14:16, 2Corinthians 1:3)
b. Counsellor (Isaiah 11:2, Psalm16:7)
c. Helper (Psalm 46:1, Hebrew 13:5b-6)
d. Intercessor (Romans 8:26)
e. Strengthener (Philippians 4:13)
f. Standby (2 Corinthians 12:9-10, )
g. Teacher John 16:13
i. Extra – ordinary strategist
4. How to receive the Holy Spirit: Every Christian can receive the Holy Spirit (Acts1:8). This is evidenced by
speaking in tongues (Act 19:6) so we can receive by laying – on of hands and by confession. (Acts 2:39, John
7:38-39)

5. The purpose of Speaking in Tongues:

a. First, it is the sign that follows believers (Mark 16:17-18)
b. For edifying oneself (1 Corinthians 14:4a)
c. To build up faith (Jude 20)
d. To glorify God (Acts 10:46)
e. To speak mysteries to God (1 Corinthians 14:2)
6. Every Christian is expected to have the fullness of the Holy Spirit. This is shown in Isaiah 11:2 that talks about
the SEVEN SPIRIT OF GOD. Number seven signifies completeness. The Holy Spirit already dwells in us in his
fullness. As you know him and fellowship with him more, he reveals himself, he is a person!
7. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit and the Ministry Gifts: These gifts are clear evidence of God’s calling upon a man’s
life, in other words they are God’s tools given to us for our Christian service. 1 Corinthians 12:6-10. The
ministry gifts refer to ministry callings upon individuals for the benefit of the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-
12.
8. The differences between the Ministry Gifts and the Gifts of the Spirit:
i. The Ministry Gifts are God’s calling into an office and cannot be desired. Hebrew 5:4. All those called into
these offices are saddled with one responsibility of perfecting the saints for the work of the ministry.
ii. The gifts of the Holy Spirit can be desired 1Corinthians 12:31, But all the same it is the Holy Spirit that
gives as He wills 1 Corinthians 12:11.
9. Difference between the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the fruit of the recreated human Spirit
i. The gifts of the Spirit are by impartation into man’s spirit and they are abilities God gives to every
believer to fulfill God’s call upon his life.
ii. The fruit of the recreated human spirit is the product of our recreated nature. We have all of the fruits of
the Spirit in side us as they come with our righteous nature (Galatians 5:22). Just like we can only tell a
tree by its fruit, the fruits of the Holy Spirit are the identifying attributes of the new Creation.

TAKE HOME ASSIGNMENT FOR CLASS 2:

1. What is the significance of the Holy Spirit in a Christian’s life?

2. Mention and explain all the fruit of the recreated human spirit and all the gifts of the spirit.

CLASS 3: CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE
INTRODUCTION
The Study on the Christian Doctrines will safeguard the young Christian from being tossed to and fro and being
carried away by every wind of doctrine. It will bring him stability as he discovers those things that are most surely
believed by us. It will erase every misconception and free him from all sorts of struggles thereby making his
Christian life an unending spring of joy.
OBJECTIVE: At the end of this class, the participants will be acquainted with the fundamental doctrines that form
the basis of our belief and lifestyle as Christians, helping them to live and enjoy a sound Christian life. Ephesians
4:14.
We are in a new kingdom now, operating by a different set of rules. Hebrews 12:22-23
In this kingdom our life style is entirely based on the faith in God’s word Romans 12:3,
Hebrew11:6.

1. MEANING OF DOCTRINE:

(a) It means a recognizable principle of teachings, values; learning, instruction that is adhered to, accepted,
believed taught and practiced by a given set of people. 1Timothy 4:13; Acts 2:42.

Saint Luke writing to Theophilus in Luke 1:1-4 said, “forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a
declaration of those things which are surly believed among us even as they deliver them unto us, which from the beginning
were eye witnesses, and minister of the word; it seem good to me also having had a perfect understanding of all things from
the first to write unto thee in order most excellent Theophilus, that thou hast been instructed” Luke 1:1-4. Here Luke the
apostle takes time out to explain to a disciple, the origin of doctrine of Christ and the foundation of his faith.

There are 3 types of doctrines;

1. Scriptural doctrine
2. Man made doctrine
3. False doctrine

1. FALSE DOCTRINES:

“As I besought thee to abide still in Ephesus; I went into Macedonia, that thou mightiest charge some that they teach no
other doctrine; neither give heed to fable and endless genealogies which minister question; rather than godly edifying which
is in faith” 1 Timothy 1:3-4.
A lie is not necessarily the opposite of truth but a pervasion. Most false doctrines are based on the pervasion of truths of
God’s word. From the time of Christ; we have had false teachers and prophets who brought in false revelation. Amidst the
diverse teaching they bring; they always try to disprove the fact that Christ was manifested in the flesh and that is the spirit
of the anti-Christ. 1 John 4:1-

2. MAN-MADE DOCTRINES:

These are patterned after the fleshy minds of human beings. They are doctrines that bother on the five senses, touch, taste,
smell, feel and seeing and often times binds the people of God. A typical example is circumcision which some believing
Jews wanted to impose on the gentiles. Acts 15:1, Galatians 1:12. Col 2:18
Some characteristics of man-made doctrines

a. They are totally based on five senses and not on faith

b. They are not based on understanding Christ
c. They make poor specimen out of the new creation
d. They exalt the flesh but are often hidden under a cloak of humanity
e. They do not offer liberty to the new creation and haven been called unto liberty
f. Their end is destruction and has no spiritual base.

3. SCRIPTURAL DOCTRINES:

 Those are founded in the word of God.

 They are doctrines which have been handed down to us from the apostles; who were taught by our Lord Jesus Christ
in the very beginning. Acts 1:1.
 There are two major classes of scriptural doctrines; foundational and perfection doctrines (Hebrews 6:1-2)

A. FOUNDATIONAL DOCTRINES OF CHRIST

 These are the principles (truth) upon which our Christian faith is established (Ephesians 4:14; Acts 20:28-
32)
 There are six foundational doctrines according to Hebrew 6:1-2, these are:

1. Repentance from dead works: Hebrews 9:2; 11-14, it is essential for a Christian to realize that he is justified by faith
and not anything that he did or does. The bible say “if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe
in your heart that God raised him from the dead, ye shall be saved” Romans 10-9. That is all that is required for
salvation. In Hebrews 9:11-14 the bible lets us know that through the blood of Christ, we have our conscience purged
from works to serve the living God. What are these works? From the above verse, the apostle Paul was talking about
the rituals by which the people of the Old Testament came to God, he’s letting them know no sacrifice from your
part is acceptable to please God.

II. Faith towards God: Hebrew 11:1; 6, 2 Corinthians 5:7, Roman 1:17. The life of a believer is a life of faith,
as God’s children we walk by faith and not by sight. Sight here means sensory perceptions. God has given
to us the measure of faith (Romans 12:3)

III. Baptisms: the word baptize is derived from the Greek word ‘baptizo’ which means to immerse complete
into. There are 2 baptisms talked about under the new covenant. These are:

1. Baptism of the Holy Spirit (new birth): 1 Corinthians 12:13; Eph. 4:4-5. This is what happens
when a man is born again by the Holy Ghost. He is buried into Christ in identification. He thus
of his death, burial and consequently resurrection into a new life.

2. Water Baptism: Romans 6:3-5; 1 Peter 3:21. This is immersion of one completely into water and
is an outward manifestation of what happens to a man when he is born again. It was commanded
by the Lord himself as a sign of faith.
IV. Laying on of hands: the main reason for laying on of hands is for impartation of grace upon an individual
for the following:

 Healing (mark 16-17-18)

 The infilling of the Holy Spirit (Acts 19:6);
 Imparting of spiritual gift (1 Timothy 4:14);
 Ordination into the ministry; (Acts 13: 2-3)

V. Resurrection from the dead: John 5:28-29; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-16; 1 Corinthians 15:19
Death is an enemy. God never meant for man to die, but through the disobedience of man, death came into
the earth. God never took anyone by death. Those he took, like Enoch was taken alive. We believe in the
resurrection of the dead because the word of God teaches us so. Man is a spirit being and does not go
extinct; when he dies his spirit goes to his master – either God or the devil (Romans 6:16). But his body is
buried and return to dust in Jesus Christ, death is a choice for a believer death cannot reign over us. Those
who died in Christ have hope in the resurrection.

VI. Eternal judgment: we have two types of judgment. One for believers and the other for the unbelievers.

1. The judgment seat of Christ: Romans 14:10; 1 Corinthians 3:11-16. This is Christian judgment
which is for reward and will take place in heaven between rapture and the second coming of Christ.
Only the saved ones will be there. The Lord said in Revelation 22:12 “behold I come quickly and
my reward is with me”. The judgment seat of Christ is where Christians receives reward for the
deeds they performed. 1 Corinthians 3:13-15. Note that the Christian will not face the judgment
seat to be judged or condemned. Romans 8:1, Romans 14:10. The Lord Jesus will be the judge.
Read John 5:22, 27. Here, the life and service of each believer will be thoroughly examined in all
areas. For the Lord is so good that he will not over look or let any good work or service go by
without the reward promised. Hebrew 6:10. Also all imperfect works or services should not be
allowed to go with those admitted into his holy presence.

2. The great white throne judgment: Revelation 20:11-15. This is called the great white judgment.
This is when the non-Christian will be judged or condemned for not accepting Jesus Christ as their
Lord and savior. Here the church will be present with Christ to pass judgment on the non-Christian.
This is the saddest roll call in history. The great white throne judgment is the most terrible and
final judgment because many people are unmindful of what will happen to their souls at the end
of their lives on earth. Jesus will be the judge. John 5:22, 27. The wicked dead will be judged. The
dead were called up from the water, from the death and from hell; all the elements delivered the
dead which were in them, none was held back. The small and the great, the rich and the poor, the
black and the white, the fair and the great, the rich and the poor, the boy and girl, the tall and
short, the teacher and the students, they all stood before the great judge. The culprits and they who
in their lifetime on earth failed, neglected or refused to acknowledge, confess and repent of their
sins and accept the salvation of God. 1Corinthians 6:2-3

B. OTHER DOCTRINES ACCORDING TO PAULINE REVELATION

These include

I. Doctrine Of Righteousness: Hebrews 5:13-14

Righteousness is a nature of God imparted to a man’s spirit that gives him the ability to stand in the presence of God
without a sense of guilt, inferiority complex or condemnation. It is a free gift from God. No man can earn it by working
for it.

 We are God’s righteousness: Romans 5:17; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 10:1-40; 2 Corinthians
4:13
 Righteousness gives you access to God’s presence: Ephesians 2:18; Ephesians 3:12
 Righteousness gives you boldness: Proverbs 28:1; Hebrews 10:19
 Righteousness gives you peace: Isaiah 2:1; Romans 5:1

II. Doctrine On Sanctification: Hebrews 10:10; 1 Corinthians 6:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Corinthians
1:30. This means consecration or separation from others for a special use. It is two folds
 The separation of the believer from the world when he gets born again this is instantaneous
1 Corinthians 6:11
 The ultimate separation of the believer unto God. This is by the word of God affecting his
being. This is gradual. It is not procedural, it is continuous. John 17:17. This is our personal
responsibility as we stay on the word of God, there is a washing. John 17:17, 1
Thessalonians 4:4.

III. Doctrine Of Holiness: 1 Corinthians 6:19; Hebrew 3:1. This means Godliness. It means to be
consecrated. It means you are sanctified. Believers are holy. As a born again child of God, you are
no longer your own. You have been bought with a price. Your body is now the temple of God
where in dwells the spirit of God. So Holiness is therefore our place in Christ 1 Corinthians 6:19-
20, Hebrews 3:1

IV. Doctrine Of The Law: Romans 8:1-3; Ephesians 2:15: Hebrews 7:18-19. We have been delivered
from the law. We are now under grace. The law has been abolished.

The bible talks about 3 important laws:

(i) The Law of Moses (Ten Commandment and others): Christ has abolished all these by His death.
(ii) The Law of sin and death – This is the nature of the un-regenerated (sinner) that causes him to do wrong
thereby bringing death, sickness, failure etc.
(iii) The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus:- This law is at work in us. We live above sickness, fear, failure,
lack and want. As new creation, we live above the elements of this world and every fiery dart of the
wicked.

V. Doctrine On Deliverance: John 1:12-13; Mark 16:17, the word delivers means ‘to take out’ to
rescue from ‘for example danger. Salvation is the central theme of the gospel and one of its benefits
to the new creation is deliverance. God has delivered us out of the control and the dominion of
darkness.

CELL MINISTRY
I Cell System:- What is a Cell? It is illustrated with plant or animal cell in biology.
(a) It is the smallest unit in Church that has the ability to group, multiply and divide and
reproduce itself thereby contributing to the numerical growth of the Church.
(b) It is a member address in Church as every member in Churchis expected to join a cell i.e. members
identity in Church.
(c) It is our insurance for growth as it gives members opportunities to explore their abilities and talents
i.e. It is a place for nurturing and well- being Acts 4:32-35.
II The Cell Structure: Here we will be considering the various offices and positions occupied by the
members of a cell group. Note that theseoffices could only be occupied by responsible and faithful
members.
i. A senior cell leader.
ii. A Cell Leader
iii. Assistant Cell Leader
iv. Bible Study Class Teacher- must have won at least 3 souls and have at most 15 members in his class.
v. Cell Secretary.
vi. Financial Secretary / Treasurer (Must have demonstrated a high sense of discipline, commitment and
faithfulness)
vii. Venue Manager.
Note:
 Senior Cell: This is made up of at least 4 cells and reports to a Senior Cell Leader.

4th Week:- Fellowship Meeting
IV The Cell as a Missionary Unit:-
Christians are the sent ones. We are on a mission to reconcile the world back to God. The Cell is a
missionary unit that trains and equips members for soul winning and other spiritual activities. Our
slogan – Win them, train them and send them Psalm 67:2, Ephesians 4:12, 15, and 16.

Conferences, Atmosphere for Miracles etc.
PRINCIPLES OF PRAYER (James 5:16-18, Acts 6:4-7)
The major tool for evangelism and soul winning is prayer. Prayer is a fellowship with God. We pray in Jesus name
not through the name of Jesus.

CLASS 5: CHRISTIAN CHARACTER & PROSPERITY
INTRODUCTION
The new creation has a new life style (a new way of living) which is all out to please God in love, devotion,
praise etc.
OBJECTIVE: At the end of this lesson the participants should be acquainted with studying and staying on the
word of God and other mannerism expected of them as Christians.
I IMPORTANCE OF GROWTH Galatians 4:1-4: God designed for us to grow. Our growth is dependent on
our knowledge and understanding of God’s word. Ephesians 4:15-16.
II STUDYING THE WORD OF GOD: 11Timothy 2:15: Life is spiritual; therefore there is serious need for
spiritual education. This could only be possible through in-depth study of the word of God. The word of
God is our necessary food. Studying the word builds the stability we require in our Christian life, keeping
us away from deception. Ephesians 4:14.
a. Necessity for daily study: Study is essential for our growth and development just as we feed our
physical body daily with, we must feed on the word for our spiritual growth. 1peter 2:2.It is our duty
to daily stay connected to the source of our life. Psalm 1:1-3, Joshua 1:8, Acts 17:11,
Deuteronomy32:46-47.
b. Rhapsody of Realities:- An effective study guide, Rhapsody of Realities is our everyday tonic. We must
read it daily and also follow our bible reading plan for the year.
III FELLOWSHIP AND SERVICE (CELL)
In Christianity no man is an island, our togetherness and participation is of paramount importance. Acts
2:42-47
The cell system of Christ Embassy provides us with the platform required for intimacy with the spirit of God
and one another Ephesians 4:16, Hebrews 10:24. We must also be consistent in Church services;
Neglecting Church services will inhibit our growth.
IV LOVE (THE 5TH DIMENSION) John 13:34-35
This love is AGAPE; God kind of love i.e. love that is unconditional 1Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is the key to spiritual gift 1Corinthians 14:1. Faith works through love.
We demonstrate our love for God by loving one another Ephesians 5:1-2
V OUR CONFESSION AND MANNER OF LIFE
Christianity is a life of Confession. The word “Confession” comes from the Greek word “Homologia”
meaning speaking the same things with God in consent.
We do not speak our feelings or what we see but we speak what we believe. God said it and I believe it.
2Corinthians 4:13, Hebrews 13:5-6
Christian life is simply being in agreement with God. Our confession sets our life on course. Romans 10:9-
13
a. LIFE AND DEATH ARE IN THE POWER OF TONGUE: Proverbs18:21
The tongue has the power to kill or make alive. The word of God is spirit and life, as you speak the
word over your life situations, you will see it produce what it talks about. Mark11:22 OR you can use
your tongue the other way round. James 3:2-6. Whatever you say is what you will have.
b. FAITH WALK: Our Christian life is a walk of faith. Hebrews 11:6. We refuse to walk by sight faith is the
victory. 2 Corinthians4:18. Our walk of faith is based on the law of faith 11Corinthians 5:7, Romans 8:6
Everything the sense can perceive is temporal, therefore subject to change.
c. CHRISTIANITY IS A LIFE OF SUBMISSION: - We have been called to submit to the word of God, to one
another and to authority (both spiritual and earthly).
There are 3 three levels of authority we must recognize and submit to as Christians:-
i. Authority in the home:-This refers to husband and wife and parents and children. Ephesians 5:22-25,
Ephesians 6:1-3.
ii. Civil Authority: This refers to the government of the land – Federal, State, and Local. We must obey the
laws of the land. Romans 13:1-4. Paul also admonished us to pray for those in authority for our own
good. 1Timothy2:1-2.
iii. Authority in the Church: We must submit to those in position of authority in the body of Christ. If you
resist them, you are resisting the anointing and this is very dangerous Hebrews 13:17.
iv. SETTLING DISAGREEMENTS: - Conflicts in opinions does not create room for enemity. It should be
settled amicably. Mathew 18:15-17.
v. SANTIFYING YOUR THOUGHTS: As Christians we must take charge of our thoughts. We are allowed to
dwell on only those things that are worthwhile. Philippians 4:8. Thoughts are as a result of the things
we expose ourselves to e.g. movies, books, magazine etc James 1:13-15.

PRINCIPLES OF PROSPERITY
God has ordained us for a super tremendous life for the purpose of the gospel. 2Corinthians 8:9-10, Joshua1:7-
8, Deuteronomy8:17-18.
The purpose of our prosperity as Christians is to be a blessing to fellow Christians and also sponsor the Gospel.
We have an assurance of permanent prosperity as we adhere to the following types of giving:-
i. TITHE: This refers to the one tenth of the value of your income. It is unto God and not man. We must
pay it irrespective of the size. Malachi 3:10, Genesis 14:20.
ii. FIRST FRUITS: This refers to the first and the best of all your increase. By
releasing your first fruit to
God, you are declaring that the rest of the fruits are sanctified. Romands11:16, Deuteronomy 18:4,
Exodus 22:29.
iii. FREEWILL OFFERING: As its name implies, you give as you desire to give e.g offering during service
Luke6:38. As you give, expect the harvest.
iv. SEED OFFERING: This is given with expectation. At times it could be regarded as a sacrifice we offer for
God to intervene in our situations. 11Corinthians 9:6-11.
vi. PARTNERSHIP: This refers to mutual co-operation and responsibility towards achievement of a
common team work in reaching the world with the Gospel. In our ministry we join forces together
with our Pastor in taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth, by partnering with our various ministry
arms. Philippians 4:3, 10

CLASS 6: THE LOCAL ASSEMBLY AND BELEIVERS LOVEWORLD
INTRODUCTION:
The Church has been God’s plan from the beginning to establish His kingdom here on earth. It all began with
calling out of the Children of Israel from Egypt. This refers to the Church in the wilderness. Church could be
referred to as the “Called out ones”. Christ is the head of the Church while the Church is His body. Ephesians
1:22-23

OBJECTIVE: *At the end of this lesson, the participants will be acquainted with the purpose of God in the Church
through her individual members.
*The student is well informed about the ministry, what it means to give your life a meaning, the vision, mission
and purpose of the ministry.
*That the student is at home with what we believe and preach in this ministry as summarized in our statement
of faith.

I THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH: The word Church is translated from the Greek word ECCLESIA which means the
gathering of the called out people. The universal Church refers to the entire body of Christ all around the
world from the days of Jesus Christ to date. Ephesians 3:21.
II LOCAL ASSEMBLY:
The universal Church is divided into local assemblies. It refers to the family of God that meets in every part
of the world operating under various names e.g. Christ Embassy, Redeemed, Evangelical, Winners etc.
God positions His children in the various local assemblies for them to be nurtured.1Corinthians 12:18, that
is why he made available the fivefold ministry gifts i.e. Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and
Teachers. He positioned us in our various local assemblies in line with His purpose for our lives. Each and
every one of us is important in the body of Christ. All we need to do is to discover our place and enjoy the
fellowship. Romans12:4-5.
III HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER:
Our focus is on the universal Church of Christ which is the entire body of Christ. Membership is simply by
being born again i.e. by appropriating for yourself the salvation that Jesus brings, just by acting on the
word of God. Romans 10:9-10. By the reason of this declaration, one is baptized into the body of Christ
through the instrumentality of the Holy Spirit. This is being born again ( i.e. Holy Ghost baptism).

IV EVERYONE SHOULD BELONG TO A CHURCH:

Every Christian must belong to a local Assembly for nurturing and development. Hebrews 10:25.
Jesus Christ is our example Luke4:16 it was His custom to go to the temple, so also his disciples. We
mustn’t neglect going to Church and we must be stable in our local Church not running from one Church to
the other. Been stable in Church will help us identify our gifts.(Romans 12:4-5)
V THE PURPOSE OF THE CHURCH:
The purpose of the Church would be looked at in three folds:-
a. The Church is his peculiar treasure, called out for the praise and glory of God. Ephesians 1:12
b. To witness to the world – soul winning is our priority. Mathew 28:18-20, Acts1:8 Mark 16:15-16.
c. To build up the saints Ephesians 4:11-16.
CHRIST EMBASSY AND YOU

a. Our Vision – To take the divine presence of God to the nations and peoples of the world and to
demonstrate the character of the Spirit.
b. Our Mission – To raise generations of men and women who will come into their inheritance to fulfill
God’s dream.
c. Our Purpose – To make known and bring them into their inheritance.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The vision of this ministry is in line with God's Word and according to His goodwill for humanity, to reconcile all men
to Himself. Therefore our statement of faith is the statement of Bible doctrine as believed and taught by the Believers'
LoveWorld Inc. a.k.a Christ Embassy. This statement of faith has its source in the Bible and is in total agreement
with the foundational principles of the doctrines of Christ.

1. We believe that the Bible contains the inspired Word of God

(2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
2. We believe that there is one God eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God
the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:4-5; 1 Corinthians 8:6)
3. We believe in the Deity of Christ
a. He was born of a virgin; (John 1:1-4, 10:30, Hebrews 1:1-5).
b. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit; (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:30-3 5)
c. He died: (John 19:30-3, 5)
d. He rose again from the dead bodily; (John 20:25-29, Luke 24:36-40)
e. He ascended into heaven bodily, (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Matthew 24:29-30)
4. We believe in the rapture of the church, and the Second Coming of Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Matthew
24:29-30).
5. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is repentance and faith in the precious blood of
Jesus Christ (Acts 3:19, Luke 24:47, Ephesians 1:7)
6. We believe that regeneration by the power of the Holy Ghost through the Word of God is essential for
personal salvation (Titus 2:5, John 3:3-5, Ephesians 5:27)
7. We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides divine healing for the body and salvation
for the soul to everyone that believes (Acts 3:16 Acts 9:32-35, 1 Peter 2:24).
8. We believe that when an individual receives the Holy Ghost, he receives divine enablement for Christian
service and witness (Acts 1:8; 2:4; 3:1-26; 4:5-12)
9. We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost. (1 Corinthians 6:11; Romans 15:16)
10. We believe in the final resurrection of both the saved and the lost. The former to eternal life and the later
to eternal judgment (Revelation 20:11-15, 1 Corinthians 12:23).

CLASS 7: THE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORKING AS A TECHNOLOGICAL PLATFORM IN ADVANCING THE
GOSPEL:
INTRODUCTION:
Technology has become an indispensable medium through which more and more people are connected and
communicate through both low and high-end tech means. Communicating and staying connected with dispersed
relationships today are enabled and enhanced through technology. Therefore, it goes without saying that
technology has made the world a global village where the barriers of distance, language, culture, tradition,
ethnicity and interest have been eliminated.
The use of technology in reaching our respective spheres of influences and constantly being abreast of relevant
information from our great ministry (The BLW Nation) has become imperative and must be fully utilized.
Today, media technologies such as the Internet and the social media are increasingly shaping every sphere of our
professional, social and cultural life, creating new and interconnected media arenas and relationships. This
phenomenon called technology also provides a platform for us Christians to “hold forth the word of life”. Our
desire as Christians should be to make wise use of technology to propagate the gospel and expand the kingdom
of God wherever it can best help.
Just as the subject of ‘technology’ is wide, so also are its applications, dimensions and benefits but for the purpose
of this class, we would be focusing on the use of SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORKING as a technological platform in
advancing the gospel.

The Psalmist prayed to God in Psalms 67 verse 2 (TLB) saying…

“Send us around the world with the news of your saving power and your eternal plan for all mankind”.
The Lord also instructed every believer in the great commission in Matt. 28 vs 10-20 (KJV) to…
”Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Spirit: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…”
The concern of previous years of how we are to go around the world with God’s saving power, teaching the
nations the principles of the kingdom has been taken away by technology. The world and indeed nations have
been delivered into our hands, and with the tap of the finger, God’s saving power is available to millions from
one location.
Overview of Social Media and Social Media Networking

SOCIAL MEDIA
Social media is best understood as a group of new kinds of onlinemedia, which share most or all of the
following characteristics:
Participation:social media encourages contributions and feedback from everyone who isinterested.
Openness:most social media services are open to feedback and participation. They encouragevoting, comments
and the sharing of information
Conversation: whereas traditional media is about “broadcast”, social media is better seen as a two-way
conversation.
Community:social media allows communities to form quickly and communicate effectively.Communities share
common interests, such as a love for photography, a political issue, fashion, sports, culture, etc.
Connectedness: Most kinds of social media thrive on their connectedness, making use of links to othersites,
resources and people.

SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORKING

These sites allow people to build personal web pages and then connect with friends to share content and
communication. Social media networking is the grouping of individuals into specific groups, like small rural
communities or a neighborhood subdivision, if you will. Social media networking is filled with millions of
individuals who are looking to meet other people, to gather and share first-hand information and experiences
about life events.
Many of these online community members share common interests in hobbies, religion, politics and alternative
lifestyles. Once you are granted access to a social networking website you can begin to socialize. This
socialization may include reading the profile pages of other members and possibly even contacting them. The
friends that one can make are just one of the many benefits to social networking online. Another one of those
benefits includes diversity because the social media networking gives individuals from all around the world
access to information. This means that although someone can be in Africa, but could develop an online
friendship with another person in Denmark or India.
Examples are:
Blogs
Perhaps the best known form of social media, blogs are online journals, with entries appearing with the most
recent first.
Wikis
These websites allow people to add content to or edit the information on them, acting as a communal
document or database. The best-known wiki is Wikipedia.
Podcasts
Audio and video files that are available by subscription, through services like Apple iTunes.

Forums
Areas for online discussion, is often around specific topics and interests. Forums came about before the term
“social media” and are a powerful and popular element of online communities.
Content communities
Communities are social media platforms that organize and share particular kinds of content. The most popular
content communities tend to form around photos (Flickr), bookmarked links (delicious) and videos (YouTube).
Microblogging
Social networking combined with bite-sized blogging, where small amounts of content (‘updates’) are
distributed online and through the mobile phone network. Twitter is the clear leader in this field.
Mobile social media
When social media is used in combination with mobile devices it is called mobile social media. This is a group of
mobile communication applications that allow the creation and exchange of user-generated content. Due to the
fact that mobile social media runs on mobile devices, it differentiates from traditional social media as it
incorporates new factors such as the current location of the user (location-sensitivity) or the time delay
between sending and receiving messages (time-sensitivity).
The Importance of Social Media in Today's world
Its is estimated that 2.08 Billion of the world’s population are active in the virtual community - the internet, and
5.2 Billion use mobile phones. This figure is projected to double by 2015.
• It provides us with a whole new way to stay connected and communicate with a global audience at a
moment’s notice;
• Now we can reach and influence hundreds of thousands of people with a single post;
• Nowadays Social Media (SM) has succeeded in quickly breaking down personal, cultural and proximity
barriers;
• It has helped open up a whole new world of conversational opportunities;
• It helps expand our social circles and explore new horizons through our online connections;
• Through SM news/information spread and are accessed faster;
• Through SM, we can bring about the change we want in our society and even in the larger world faster.

The Christian and Social Media

Some are of the opinion that as Christians we should not use SM. But because the control lies in our hands as
Christians, it can be used for good.
Just as our Lord Jesus Christ used the power of social networks to build the Church from twelve disciples in a
small community to hundreds of millions around the world today. We also, as Christians are to carry on the
tradition like social networks in our own culture through opportunities in cyberspace with social networking
sites like Yookos, Facebook, blogs, You Tube and Twitter, among others.
Now through SM (from our home/city/nation) we can evangelize and make disciples in another country without
the need of physical appearance. As Christians, we must adopt the SM as a new way of reaching people.
Technology has helped tear down the geographical borders that once divided us, making it easier to reach out
to many people at once through SM. Whereas in years back missionaries traveled for days on end to get to their
destination to spread the gospel, the interconnectedness that SM sites create makes it easier to access many
people with the gospel at once in our generation.
Many can be saved, healed, strengthened and transformed just by being exposed to the transforming power of
the gospel of Christ that we share/publish through SM sites. Always share:
 Testimonies of your personal Christian life/salvation;
 Pictures from our inspiring church programs/services where the power of Christ was demonstrated;
 Recaps of our Pastor’s messages (from ROR) that has blessed you.
BIBLE REF.: Titus 1:5; 1 Cor. 9:22; Psm. 68:11 (TLB)

How To Use Social Media

Our conducts, practices and use of language in communicating on SM platform as Christians should be
different.
 Post no wrong/unedifying communication
 Have a purpose – to influence and impact with your SM community with our message.
 Make an impact with your communication
 Don’t just have a presence, be active on the SM platform
 Create and share contents
 Get people to join your SM platform regularly
BIBLE REF.: Phill. 2:15, 16b; Eph. 4:29

Using Smart Phones, Tablets and Other Mobile Devices To Spread The Gospel

Interconnect and rebroadcast messages, upload pictures and share testimonies of impact from our church or
cell programs on social media by using these devices
 Practical demonstration by the teacher
 Encourage the students to come to class with internet enabled phones/mobile devices
