1. In the figure ,∆𝐴𝐵𝐶 and ∆𝐷𝐵𝐶 have same base BC and lie on the same side. If PQ||BA, and PR∥ 𝐵𝐷 then prove
that QR||AD.

2. Prove that if a line is drawn parallel to one side of a triangle to intersect the other two sides in distinct points , the
0ther two sides are divided in the same ratio.

3. X is any point inside a ∆𝐷𝐸𝐹 and joined to all three vertices .From point P on DX ,PQ||DE is drawn which meets
EX at Q and from Q, QR||EF drawn which meets XF at R .Prove that PR||DF.

4. On three line segments OA , OB and OC there are points L ,M and N respectively such that LM||AB and MN||BC.
If L , M , N and A , B , C are non colli near points the prove that LN||AC.

5. In the figure there are two points D and E on side AB of ∆𝐴𝐵𝐶 such that AD=BE. If DP||BC and EQ||AC then
prove that PQ||AB.

6. If in an isosceles ∆𝐴𝐵𝐶, AB=AC and D is a point on side AC such that BC2=AC.CD prove that BD=BC

7. In the figure , ABCD is a parallelogram and E divides BC in the ratio 1:3 DB and AE intersect at F .Show that

DF=4FB and AF=4FE.

8. Prove that if two sides and a median bisecting the third side of a triangle are respectively propotional to the
corresponding sides and the median of another triangle then the two triangle are similar.

its altitudes.

12. Prove that the equilateral triangles described on the two sides of a right angled triangle are together equal to the
equilateral triangle describes on the hypotenuse in terms of their areas.

(ii) AE2 + CD2 + BF2= AF2+ BD2 +CE2

30. Hypotenuse of a right angle triangle is 25cm and two side one is longer than other by 5cm . Find other sides .

31.The ⊥ from A on side BC of ∆ 𝐴𝐵𝐶 intersect BC at D such that DB=3CD prove that : 2AB2=2AC2+BC2.
