DMRINHS Initiates School-Wide Clean-Up Drive for a Greener


Environment

On September 18, 2024, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government


(SSLG) of Don Manuel Rivera Memorial Integrated National High School, in
collaboration with various school clubs and bureau of fire protection, actively
participated in a school-wide clean-up drive.

The purpose of the event was to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness
of the school grounds while also encouraging everyone to take responsibility for
the environment.

With rakes, brooms, and garbage bags in hand, the students cleaned the
surroundings.

Encouraging a sense of community and collaboration, teachers and other


school personnel also joined the program.

Through this project, the students highlighted the value of environmental


care while also contributing to the school's cleanliness.

On September 19, the election for Grade 7 representatives for the


Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Don Manuel Rivera Memorial
Integrated National High School took place. Lei Umali and Yelaina De Lumban
were announced as the winners.

Candidates shared their ideas and connected with classmates, showcasing


their leadership skills. As votes were counted, Grade 7 students eagerly
anticipated the results, knowing that their chosen representatives would serve as
role models for the year ahead.

Overall, the election was a memorable event that emphasized the


importance of student leadership and involvement.

On September 16, 2024, Don Manuel Rivera MINHS started its Teachers'
Month celebration, with various organized by the Supreme Secondary Learner
Government (SSLG).

The event kicked off with the fun contest "3 Words, 1 Iconic Line," where
students showed their appreciation for teachers by showcasing iconic lines.
SSLG announced three contests under the theme "Together4Teachers": a Poster
Making Contest, a Spoken Poetry Contest and a Poem Writing Contest.

These activities encouraged students to express their gratitude and


creativity, leading up to a special recognition event on Teachers' Day to honor
the important role of teachers.
