The Booker Prize
The Booker Prize is one of the most prestigious literary
awards for original novels in English, irrespective of
the author’s nationality. Established in 1969, it
recognizes outstanding works of fiction. Paul Lynch’s

him £50,000 and acclaim for his emotional storytelling.
The International Gandhi Peace Prize
The International Gandhi Peace Prize, established by
India in 1995, honors contributions to social change
through non-violence, reflecting Gandhi’s ideals. It
includes ₹1 crore (about $130,000), a plaque, and a
citation, open to all individuals and institutions. The
Gandhi Peace Prize for 2021 has been awarded to Gita
Prize, Gorakhpur.
The Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament and
Development for 2023 has been jointly awarded
to Daniel Barenboim and Ali Abu Awwad for their
efforts in bringing together the youth and peoples of
Israel and the Arab World for a non-violent
resolution of the Israel-Palestine conflict.

The Templeton Prize is a prestigious award that recognizes


outstanding achievements in promoting spiritual values,
advancing spiritual discovery.

Dr. Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela was awarded the 2024


Templeton Prize for her work on trauma and forgiveness. She
was announced the winner on June 4, 2024
The Awards, considered the most prestigious in the
fields of journalism and arts, were conferred by
Columbia University on the recommendation of
the Pulitzer Prize Board.
