This is to certified that following Third Year (CO5I) Computer Engineering students have
successfully and satisfactory completed their Capstone Project work, entitled “GPT Thane
Application ” in partial fulfilment of the requirement for diploma in Computer Engineering
Academic Year 2024-2025.
1.0 Rationale :-
With the help of a GPT Thane application, students can get notified about various events, Semsester
exams timetable, department-wise study material, contact with faculties, admission related
information, college important notices and more things. It also helps Faculty's or teachers, to notify
students abouts exams, events, solving doubts , managing student details, etc. The Application helps
the Students and Staff members to meet there requirements along with interaction between Staff
members and students. As a result, it helps the college students to know about their college and
helps to complete there requirements.
2.0 Introduction
The "Application of Government Polytechnic Thane" project focuses on creating a digital platform
that provides easy access to essential information and services offered by the institution.
Government Polytechnic Thane is a well-established technical education institute, known for its
high-quality courses in engineering, technology, and vocational training. With the increasing
reliance on technology for information dissemination, this project aims to bridge the gap between
the institution and its students, faculty, and the general public.
The application will offer users an intuitive interface to explore details such as academic programs,
faculty profiles, admission guidelines, and campus facilities. Additionally, it will act as a one-stop
solution for current students to access timetables, announcements, and other academic resources.
The introduction of this application will not only enhance the institution’s visibility but also
improve user convenience by making crucial information available at their fingertips. Through this
project, we aim to contribute to the modernization of educational institutions by integrating
technology for better communication, engagement, and service delivery.
The problem addressed by the "Application of Government Polytechnic Thane" project is the lack
of a centralized, user-friendly digital platform for accessing essential information about the
institution. Currently, students, parents, and prospective applicants may face challenges in obtaining
accurate and timely information about courses, admission procedures, faculty details, and other
institutional resources. This lack of accessibility can lead to confusion, delays, and an overall
inefficient communication process between the institution and its stakeholders.
Furthermore, the absence of a unified platform for current students to access academic resources,
timetables, notifications, and other updates can cause difficulties in managing their educational
experience effectively. In an increasingly digital world, this creates a gap between the institution
and the technological expectations of its users.
The project seeks to resolve these issues by developing a mobile application that consolidates all
relevant information and services into a single, easy-to-use interface. This will simplify the process
of obtaining critical information, reduce communication barriers, and enhance the overall user
experience for students, faculty, and other stakeholders.
Stakeholder Interviews: Conduct discussions with users to identify their information access
needs and challenges.
Surveys and Questionnaires: Use surveys to gather quantitative data on user preferences
and desired app features.
Feature Specification: Outline the essential features of the application based on user
requirements.
Wireframing and Prototyping: Create visual designs and interactive prototypes to refine
the application interface before development.
3. Development
Front-end Development: Build an intuitive user interface for easy navigation and access to
application features.
Back-end Development: Develop server-side components for data management and user
authentication.
4. Testing
Unit Testing: Test individual components to ensure they function correctly and meet
specifications.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Gather feedback from real users to evaluate the
application's usability and make adjustments.
5. Deployment
Launch: Release the application on platforms like the Google Play Store for user access.
User Training: Provide tutorials to help users understand and effectively use the application
features.
Monitoring: Track application performance and user feedback to identify issues needing
resolution.
Updates: Regularly improve the application by fixing bugs and adding features based on
user suggestions.

8.0 Conclusion:
In conclusion, the "Application of Government Polytechnic Thane" project aims to enhance
accessibility and streamline communication between the institution and its stakeholders
through a user-friendly digital platform. By addressing the current challenges of information
dissemination and resource management, this application will empower students, parents,
and faculty with easy access to essential details regarding courses, admissions, and academic
resources.
