Inventory carrying cost = 20% p.a.

Maximum time for emergency purchase = 5 days
Q-2. Calculate Material Turnover Rate and Period.

Opening stock = Rs.12,500

Stock is valued on the basis of cost plus 25%
Q-3.A worker has been allowed to complete a work in 12 hours, but he completes the work in 9
hours. Labour rate per hour is Rs.2. If cost of material is Rs.8 and factory overheads are 150% of
direct labour, find out factory cost as per following methods.

Factory overheads vary 40% directly with production, whereas sales overheads vary 60% with sales.
Estimate for the year 2022-23:
(1) Production and sales will be 10,000 units.
(2) Direct labour cost per unit will increase by 10%.
(3) Fixed factory overheads will increase by Rs.16,000 and office and fixed selling overheads
will increase by 20%.There will be no change in other cost.
(4) The rate of profit on cost of the year 2021-22 has to be maintained.
Prepare projected Cost Sheet for the year 2022-23.
