Software introduction

Asenware GMS full name graphic monitoring system, it is a fire monitoring system designed for
PF100 addressable fire alarm control panel. The system can be connected to the panel, timely and
reliably display the alarm location and remind the relevant personnel.
1 Software Installation

Asenware GMS is divided into Server and Client for Windows only. The Server must install
MSSQL_Setup and AWGMS_Setup, the Client only need install AWGMS_Setup. Please run as
administrator when install MSSQL_Setup and AWGMS_Setup.
1.1 Install MSSQL_Setup

1.1.1 The Server PC should install .NET Framework 3.5 first. The install path is“Settings - Control Panel
- All Control Panel Items - Programs and Features - Turn Windows features on or off”.

1.1.2 Run MSSQL_Setup as administrator.

1.1.3 Allow program installation

1.1.4 Click “Next”

1.1.5 Click “Next”

1.1.6 Auto Unpack

1.1.7 Installation Progress

1.1.8 Click “Next”

1.1.9 Click “Finish” to finish install.
1.2 Install AWGMS_Setup

1.2.1 Run AWGMS_Setup as administrator.

1.2.2 Allow program installation

1.2.4 Read and accept the license agreement

1.2.5 Select the installation path

1.2.6 Confirm installation information

1.2.7 If reinstall the software, you will be prompted to override the configuration file
2 GMS instructions

Run“ASENWARE GMS”as administrator on desktop.

Software interface:
2.1 Server Info

For the first time run GMS as administrator, the Server does not need to configure Server Info.The Client
will remind configure.

Click“ok”or click ”Settings-ServerInfo”to configure Server name or IP.

2.2 Register

Server run GMS as administrator, click ”Settings-Register”to register user info, the first register user will
be the SuperAdmin (role: SuperAdmin, Admin, User, Visitor). It will automatic login after register.
2.3 Logout Time

Click“Setting-Logout Time”, configure user automatic logout time.

2.4 Device Image

Click “Setting-Device Image”, configure device image，the images will use to

Monitoring.
2.5 Backup

Click “Setting-backup”, backup all data in the current system, self - named backup file name and path.
2.6 Restore

Click“Setting-Restore”，to choose backup file to restore the system。

2.7 Exit

Click “Exit” will show exit dialog.

2.8 Project

SuperAdmin and Admin can configure project information in “ Project Info-Projects ” . Upload project
picture and contact information.
2.9 Panel

2.9.1 Setting on Panel

Set“PANEL SETUP - COMMUNICATION - TCP/IP - Net Mode-1” to “TCP Server”and change the Local
IP Configuration on panel.
2.9.2 Setting on GMS
SuperAdmin and Admin can configure panel information in “Project Info-Panel List”, enter the panel IP
you want to monitoring.

SuperAdmin can select multiple panels then click “ Download Panel Setting ” to download panel
setting information(PANEL SETUP, REGISTER).

2.10 Move Device to Layout

SuperAdmin and Admin can move register device to project layout(including the panel itself).
Click the left panel-device tree node to add the device icon to the current layout. Click the right project
node to change current layout.

Right-click on the device icon to delete it.

2.11 Monitoring

After Move Device to Layout,click “Monitoring” button jump to Living Monitoring.When the fire
happen, the layout will jump to the fire floor and play fire alarm sound. The current fire alarm will be
displayed directly in bottom.
Click the device icon to show its location, click to silence alarm sound.

If the user fails to operate the interface for a logout time, the system will automatically logout the
current account. If you want to operate again, you need to log in again.
2.12 License

Click the activation prompt in the bottom. Send the Serial No to the supplier to get the license for this
program. One license can activate all programs of one customer.
If the GMS is not activated, it will automatically logout after one hour.
2.13 History

Click “History” will show device alarm records and user operation records. SuperAdmin and Admin can

query, export or delete all records.

2.14 User List

SuperAdmin can manage users in“User - User List”,add or delete software user.
2.15 License

“License” show all activate records.

3. Questions

1. How many installation packages are included in the GMS software, and how to use them?

The GMS software installation package includes: MSSQL_SETUP.EXE and AWGMS_SETUP.EXE.

MSSQL_SETUP is use to install the SQL SERVER database, AWGMS_SETUP is use to install the GMS
program, Run the installation packages as administrator and install as prompts.MSSQL_SETUP only
needs to be installed once per project on the server, AWGMS_SETUP can be installed on multiple
computers, share an SQL SERVER database with all GMS programs under the same project.

2. MSSQL_SETUP installation was unsuccessful

Check if MSSQL_SETUP.EXE is running as administrator, if not, run as administrator. Check if the

computer operating system is Windows 7 64-bit or above, if not, the computer needs to be replaced；
Check if .NET Framework 3.5 is installed on this computer, if not, follow the installation instructions to
install .NET Framework 3.5; Check if SQL SERVER is installed on this computer, if SQL Server is already
installed, go to step 4.

3. AWGMS_SETUP installation was unsuccessful

Check if AWGMS_SETUP.EXE is running as administrator, if not, run as administrator.

4. If SQL SERVER is installed on the computer, how to add GMS database, how to modify other
configurations?

If the machine has installed the SQL SERVER database, to add GMS database, need to
determine whether the existing database version is SQL Server 2014 or above, execute another
database script, and provide the account and password of the existing database with read and write
permissions in order to update the configuration.

5. How to uninstall and reinstall GMS software?

In “Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features”, find ASENWARE GMS, click
Uninstall; To completely uninstall SQL SERVER 2014, uninstall all programs with SQL Server in the
“Programs and Features”, and delete the folder of the SQL SERVER installation directory
(like:C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server and C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server); After
completely uninstalling the GMS program or SQL Server, restart the computer and run the SETUP file to
reinstall.

6. How to configure Server Info?

 First install MSSQL_SETUP.EXE of computer is the Server, other computers with AWGMS_SETUP
installed in the project as Client. Server does not need to configure Server Info, Client completes
installation will automatically prompt for configuration Server Info, or click "Setting-Server Info" to
configure, fill in the Server IP or Server computer name.

7. How to download panel settings?

Click ”Project Info - Panel List” to enter the panel management, firstly add a panel information

(IP, Port, Panel model NO),check the panel you want to monitoring，then click to download panel
settings, after download finished, GMS will automatically monitoring the panel alarm information.

8. How to monitoring panel?

When the Server run the GMS, it will automatically records the panel alarm information to
database. Then the Clients will periodically polls the database to display the latest fire alarm information.

Click on the top right of the GMS to enter the full screen.
