CONCLUSION
EVALUATION &
The FlameGuard is not big or strong enough to
handle strong fires like, forest fires, house fires
etc. But we can use this as an idea to make
something bigger and more advanced.
Technology is becoming more and more
advanced and with this idea to stop fires more
efficiently, we can worry less about fires. With
this technology we can save millions and billions
of dollars each year.

RESULTS
ANALYSIS &
Results: The robot detects fires in about 3
seconds, faster than firefighters (10-15 seconds).
Its water targeting accuracy is 85%, slightly less
than firefighters’ 92%. It extinguishes small
fires in 10 minutes (slower than firefighters’ 8
minutes) and large fires in 30 minutes.

Analysis: The robot performs well in speed and

consistency but struggles in complex, smoke-
heavy areas and with sudden fire spread
changes. Firefighters adapt better in these
situations.

Can a robot that shoots water put out fires as
effectively as human firefighters?
abstract

This project shows the efficiency of using a water

spraying robot instead of human firefighters in
putting out flames. Fire situations are dangerous
and call for prompt, precise reactions, particularly
locations it is hard to reach. We analyzed the
robots precision to target, its speed and fire
detection. The objective is to determine whether
these robots can offer dependable assistance,
improving the effectiveness and safety of
firefighting. Future firefighting technology may
be influenced by the findings, which could lower
the risk of emergency response situations.

method

Equip the robot with sensors to detect fires and

tools to spray water. Set it up to accurately find
heat and flames and move precisely. Run several
test fires with different sizes, strengths, and
obstacles to mimic real firefighting situations.
Measure and record important data like how well
it detects fires, how fast it responds, how
efficiently it uses water, and its success in
putting out fires.
