Blue Screen of Death

The blue screen of death is one of the most recognisable computer errors that can occur, and if
youve ever used a PC theres a good chance that you might have encountered a blue screen of
death error already.

What usually happens is that your PC will become unresponsive for a few seconds, and then
the screen will turn completely blue and an error message (thats sometimes completely
indecipherable) will appear. Your PC will then restart, and if youre lucky you wont have lost too
much work.

While the name blue screen of death started off as a bit of a joke, it hints at how scary this error
message can be. If you get a blue screen of death without saving your work, the resulting reboot
of your PC can make you lose any changes youve made to a document.

While some blue screen of death errors are one offs, most of the time they are an indication
that theres something wrong with your PC, and there are a number of reasons why you may get
a blue screen of death error. Failing hardware, corrupted software, missing DLL files or
problems with drivers can be the main culprits.

The way to fix a blue screen of death error will vary depending on what caused it to appear.
When the blue screen of death error appears you should see a code. Quickly note that down,
then type it into Google (or another search engine of your choice). Youll hopefully find that other
people have encountered the same error and have posted how they fixed it.

The good news is that in Windows 10, Microsoft has made the blue screen of death error
message more useful. For a start, its no longer blue — its green. There will also be a QR code
that is displayed along with the error message. Use your smartphone to scan the QR code and
you should be taken to a webpage that will explain the error message in more detail, and offer
advice on how to fix it.

Computer reboots itself again and again

Another common problem with computers. In order to fix the problem of rebooting itself again
and again, you will need to check the hardware. You may have a faulty power supply, defective
or dirty cooling fan, etc., that may cause the computer to reboot again and again. The dust that
accumulates on the fan, makes it heat up faster and in order to cool down the computer
automatically switches off. Thus, clean the fan and check for power supply. Following these
simple steps will help you to solve these problems with computer.

Computer gives error messages on start-up

Many times when you switch on you computer you see error messages on your screen. These
messages may appear such as, abclink.xyz missing or damaged - press any key to continue. If
you see this message, you need to press keys for about 8 to 10 times, before Windows actually
resumes. This happens when you delete a program instead of actually un-installing it. If you
wish to get rid of any program, go to Control panel ---> Programs ---> Programs and Features.
Here, you will find a list of programs installed on your computer. Select the specific you wish to
delete and click on Uninstall. The program will be removed from your system and next time you
switch on your PC, you will not get any error messages saying a link is missing

✔ 1. Hover your pointer around the area where the task bar was originally. If it reappears, right
click the task bar and unselect Auto-hide task bar.

✔ 2. Press the Windows Key to access the Start Menu.

✔ 3. If the task bar has moved, drag and drop it from its current location back to where you
want it to be.

GET RID OF POP-UP ADS ON MY COMPUTER

If pop-up ads are appearing on your desktop while you are not running a Web browser, chances
are that you have installed adware on your computer. While removing adware from your
computer is not an easy task, running a full scan of your computer with a credible antivirus
software can help find and remove the adware.

In the event that the antivirus software is unable to remove the adware, searching online for the
name of the advertised product can sometimes turn up solutions reported by other victims. If
the search results do not produce a solution, you can always perform a complete system
reinstall. While this might take a long time, it is the only guaranteed way to remove adware or
spyware. Just make sure to back up all of your files first.

refresh rate when you make the setting changes.

wires may be worn.

Why Doesnt This Program Work on My New PC?

If you recently upgraded your computer, its possible that the old program is not compatible with
the new operating system on your computer. If youre using an old installation file, try searching
for a new version online. Additionally, if youve changed from a PC to a Mac or visa verse, then
you should know that the two systems are incompatible, so programs from one wont work on
the other.

System Automatically Restart

Last but not least for common computer problems here, and quite the most frustrated one too!
There are many reasons for this problem. It can be a result of various issues, including
corrupted drivers, faulty hardware, and malware infection, among others. It can be difficult to
pinpoint exactly what keeps your computer in a reboot loop. In most cases, it usually happens
after the Windows update.

Deleting bad registry files

Before you do this, you have to be completely confident that you can complete the process
without making any mistake. Keep in mind that the Windows Registry is a sensitive database.
Even misplacing a comma can cause damages to your computer! As such, I suggest you opt for
a one-click solution like Auslogics Registry Cleaner. This freeware automatically searches for
duplicate or corrupted registry files.

Updating drivers

When your drivers are outdated, it is possible for your computer to get stuck in a reboot loop.
This is because your devices are not able to properly communicate with your system. As such, it
is important to check if your drivers are up to date
Checking hardware issues

In some cases, a computer may keep on restarting because of faulty hardware. The three main
hardware to check on are:

RAM

CPU

External Devices

Scanning for viruses or malware

It is possible that your computer has been infected by a virus or malware – that is why it keeps
on restarting. You can run a complete virus scan by using Windows Defender.

On the other hand, you can also opt for 3rd party programs like AVG antivirus or Trend.

Computer Makes Strange Noises

Noises and vibrations from your computer are a hardware problem. Many electronic parts can
make high pitch noises. You need to switch off your computer and unplug it from the power
supply. Now remove the case from the CPU and restart your computer. Locate the origin of
noise and then switch off the computer and unplug it. It may be a faulty fan, loose wire or screw.
This means you will need to call the computer technician to help you solve your problems with
computer, regarding these type of problems.

Low Virtual Memory

Do you keep getting an annoying message that says system running low on virtual memory? If
yes, it means your computer is running short of RAM, that is, Random Access Memory. So, to
solve this problem, you need to increase the size of your computer memory. Windows 7 users
need at least 1 GB of RAM, Windows Vista needs 512 MB of Ram and Windows XP requires
minimum 256 MB RAM. Visit your local computer dealer and purchase more memory from him.
The dealer may even install the memory for you. This will help you get rid of low virtual memory.

You can avoid these problems if you are aware of the various steps needed for computer
maintenance. You should read the manual given with computer before you begin using it. Yes,
the manual may sound Greek to you, but its always better to know the simple precautions to be
taken. The troubleshooting is not an easy task. If you do not understand anything or are still
apprehensive about these troubleshooting, then it is a better idea to consult a computer
technician. You have many articles on the Internet that help you find solutions to various
problems with computer. You do not need to be genius to diagnose and troubleshoot a simple
problem. Many times a bit of presence of mind and common sense will help you overcome
obstacles of the technical world.
