INFORMATION ABOUT FACTORY:
This assignment is based on a report on industrial attachment at KNIT CONCERN
LIMITED. The location of this industry is 62, Water Works Roads, Goagnail,
Narayangonj, Bangladesh. The KNIT CONCERN LIMITED is totally affiliated to
KNIT CONCERN GROUP. Founder & Director of KNIT CONCERN LIMITED is
“Joynal Abedin Mollah.” The total organogram depends on president and CEO. Knit
Concern Group emerged in 1990 and has started manufacturing and exporting since
1992. Having all vertical setups as a full knit project situated in a single 18-acre
premise. KNIT CONCERN LIMITED is 100% export-oriented composite knitwear
industry. And the main product of this industry is knit wear (Single Jersey, Double
Jersey, S/J Lyc., Rib, 1X1 Rib Cotton Lyc., Interlock, Lacoste, all kinds of Pique,
Engineering Stripe, waffle, Jersey twill) and knit garments (T- Shirt, Polo Shirt, Golf
Shirt, Trouser, Lingerie, Fashion dress & Children wears). It is now employing about
12,500 people. Today it produces and exports approximately 200,000 pieces of knit
apparel and 100,000 pieces of lingerie daily (//www.knitconcern.com/). The total
capacity of production is Knitting: 35 ton/day, Garments: 1,50,000 Pieces/day,
Dyeing: 35 ton/day Lingerie: 25,000 pieces. The main section of this industry is
knitting section sample section, cutting section, sewing section, finishing section
washing section Major buyers of KNIT CONCERN LIMITED is H& M(Sweden),
K& L France Fashion Fit (France), Okaidi (France), Jules (France), WE (France),
CAMAIEU (France), BONOBO (France), Phildar (France), Jacadi (France). Knit
Concern is certified with ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, BSCI, WRAP,
SEDEX, Oko-Tex and SCOPE (Organic). It has some background facilities such as
Staff canteen, Mosque, Medical, Cleanness, Water, Toilet, Emergency Electricity
Supply.
