SUPPORT
If you have any kind of problems with this software contact me via the e-mail account: [email protected] or
with a X-Plane org Forum PM. The log files which is located inside the log folder must be including with your
support request, if the files are not empty.
RELEASE
The new 1.17.0 and onwards versions are not compatible with older versions.
KNOWING BUGS
The window postion on multiple screens could be displayed on the wrong screen
Performance Print maybe not working on some mobile browser such as Firefox or if UI opening on
embedded browser like FF A320 Tablet
SYSTEM REQUIREMENT
INSTALLATION
Extracted the zip file for your system into an folder with full write/read access.
Because of the new web interface it is required to make a firewall exception rule for the javaw.exe which is
located inside the bin folder. Normally windows internal firewall will be popup a window to allowed the
javaw.exe to communicate. When no window is popup than you need to make the execption rule manually.
Some window anti-virus marked the javaw.exe or the .bat file as virus. If this happen than you need to make a
exception for the installation folder and put the javaw.exe and or .bat file out of quarantine.
Open a terminal/console window and type ldd --version and you will seen on the first row the glibc version
which is installed on your system:
ldd (GNU libc) X.XX
Open a terminal/console window where the airplanetoolbox file is located and typing chmod +x
airplanetoolbox and execute it. After that you can click on this file and the program will be started.
On newer macOS versions the security rules are stronger and none apple register devolopers application are
blocked. If you get a security alert message you can make a exception rule for my application. Hold the ctrl
and with a right mouse click on the airplanetoolbox start file a context menu should be now open. If you click
on open macOS doesn't alert you again.
WINDOWS
You can start the software with an double click of the airplanetoolbox.bat file.
You can start the software with an double click of the airplanetoolbox shell file.
MOBILE DEVICES
On any mobile device it requires a running app on your main pc system. To open the user interface follow the
instruction on the start screen.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If any error happen send a personal message or e-mail with the log files as attachment. Those files are
located inside the log folder.
The token based transfer means you get a token baked in a cookie. Those tokens are valid for one day. After
one day the are invalid and automatic refreshed. To secure this cookie a transfer token is sending foreach
request.
SERVER MODE
With version 1.13 and onwards you can use the server mode. With the server mode you have no user
interface and you can control it with the headless commands.
If you want to activate the server mode without the ui you need to rename the application-example.yaml to
application.yaml and open it with a text editor like notepad or gedit.
Inside this file you can find following options
- Server Options:
- port > Here you can set the port which the server should be use
- headlessMode > With this option you can control in which mode the server start
For ui mode set it to true and for server mode set it to false
- Database Option:
- cycleUpdate > With this option you can control
how often the application should be search for a database update
Allowed are @daily, @weekly and @monthly
- Auth Option:
- refreshKeys > With this option you can control
how often the application should be refresh the authorization keys
Allowed are @daily, @weekly and @monthly
Save it and start the server with the ariplanetoolbox .bat or shell script.
