Things to know about Business administration
The business administration major trains managers to master basic socio-economic
knowledge, knowledge of functions, business processes, and administration in
enterprises; have basic skills to apply in business in general; and perform some
professional tasks well.
Studying business administration is a comprehensive study, and you will have to
know everything. It is not suitable for those who do not know what they want or
what job they will do in the future because, after graduating, they cannot determine
what they want to a situation where you can do anything, but the more advanced
you become, the more frustrated you become. It is suitable for people who have the
ability to self-study, learn quickly, determine what they want, or graduate from
school to start their own business.
The appeal of business administration is the breadth of
knowledge, which is a strength but also a weakness. Why?
Business administration is about learning almost everything related to economics;
in general, it is very broad, but there is no in-depth training. That is why business
administration has divided majors, so studying business administration well means
learning a lot and knowing a lot but not knowing anything. Knowing deeply also
creates conditions for us to self-study and learn a lot because, at least, it gives us a
foundation. So if you have good orientation or self-study ability, business
administration is an advantage.
The strength of the industry is that you can learn a lot of things and do a lot of
things, but that is also its bad point because it is too general. Many people will not
be able to determine which direction is right for them, leading to many graduates
looking for jobs, often in jobs outside the field.
