Reading you story, I undertand you. It seems to be scammy, but I can tell you that affiliate marketing has
evolved A LOT.
My general advice - choose a niche you're interested in, either it's consumer good or SaaS products or
e-commerce or whatever.
Explore the niche and affiliate programs players in the niche offer. I ten to agree, that SaaS products pay
well and more over, you can read people's honest reviews (all Shopify apps have independent reviews -
read and think about your future content!) and promote only those products that get high rating. In this
way you're recommending a truly helpful product while making money.
Start creating content in your niche and start signing up for all those affiliate programs - good thing
around SaaS is that you can be affiliate for like 5-10 companies not even competitors and still review
them on one YouTube channel or on blog.
FYI - the best thing about those companies is that some of them actually provide the content for you, like
a ready-to-go so all you need to do is re-purpose it a bit and add your opinion.

demand. One of the challenges faced in the affiliate marketing industry is that it sometimes
good to be true: advertising that's guaranteed to work or it's free! Newcomers wonder if it's possible,
and skeptics claim that the cost-effective prices of affiliate marketing lower the bar for online
advertising. But there is a good reason that affiliate marketing has experienced steady growth
throughout the ups and downs of online advertising—it works. And affiliate marketing has evolved to
become a reliable source of sales for a wide range of marketers.
Almost all major multi-channel marketers have an affiliate program of some kind. The important thing to
remember is that affiliate programs now come in all shapes and sizes. The concept of a wide-open
affiliate program with an unlimited and uncontrolled number of affiliates is a thing of the past. Nearly all
marketers agree that affiliates add value to an online marketing effort, but the program must be tailored
to meet the marketer's objectives.
Affiliate marketing did not bring an end to other, higher-priced forms of online media advertising. The
success of affiliate marketing in delivering sales cost-effectively by way of a pay-for-performance model
paved the way for other forms of performance-based advertising, such as CPA-based search and portal
advertising, to create acceptance among direct marketers. Affiliate marketing has evolved, with affiliates
and marketers becoming more sophisticated and programs more integrated with other forms of online
marketing.

Jordan before he got caught was like a black hat marketer, sold a lot of scummy shit and made a lot
of money. After he got caught he couldn't do that anymore and basically became a 'white hat'
affiliate marketer. Now the way he makes money is basically selling his 'brand' of being an amazing
salesman pumping out guru products.
Its something a lot of 'failed affiliate marketers' do when they can't cut it as a marketer anymore.
They basically stop believing in the dream and instead sell the dream to someone else. Some of them
turn into successful gurus who gain a following (frank kerns, russell brunson, etc) but a lot of them
just skirt by selling lousy products.
jordan belfort is in an interesting spot because he's forced to play the white hat game because the
government is all over his ass watching to make sure he doesn't slip up again... and for all his
expertise and huge brand exposure the movie gave him... the best he can do is just selling guru sales
courses. And one of them was a huge flop (I was an affiliate for one of them, the offer ran on a
network i was on for like 2 months before getting pulled. He was running a competition too where the
top sales person would get to meet him and have dinner too, I don't know if he even fulfilled that
obligation).
I won't even go into the suspicious stuff he got caught doing in Australia awhile back. Point is... I
think taking advice from someone like jordan belfort about not being a scummy salesman is hilarious
because in a lot of ways if he wasn't being watched so heavily I think he'd be right back to doing
scummy shit because he knows doing everything legit just doesn't get results fast enough to keep up
with everyone else.

Affiliate Marketing is not DEAD or scummy... People just don't know how to do it RIGHT anymore!
The old "bring traffic to a website...then transfer it to a sales page" crappy strategy just DON'T work
anymore.
I believe that what's stopping you from succeeding and finding LEGIT affiliate offers to promote while
still being Honest, Confident, and most importantly Happy is your outdated marketing strategies.
Statistics reveal that a regular person needs to see the product (7-20 times) before he even decides to
Buy, can you read that again?
The #1 Secret to succeed in today's world, especially in Affiliate Marketing, is the FOLLOW-UP!
Your leads need to get consistent content and information about your offer before they even show
interest, and the only way to do that for FREE is "Email Marketing"
With Email Marketing, you can integrate your leads with an autoresponder and upload a sequence of
automated emails that gets the job done while you're SLEEPING!
Too good to be true, right? but that's how it is... the FOLLOW-UP is important in today's world.
No Follow-up, No Trust.
No Trust, No Money.
It's that simple... Seriously!
If you've made it until here... I just wanna say "Congrats"
You know why? Simply because few Affiliate Marketers know the real power of Email Marketing and its
crazy potential to turn leads into loyal, happy, and lovely Customers
OK OK OK this is all cool, but what should YOU take out of this
Whenever you contact someone….make sure you give them something they can USE (even if it’s one tiny
thing to help them improve).
And that's why I'm giving you something... Not because I want to capture your crappy email address, and
send you spammy shitty offers.
My real goal is to collect as many like-minded people as I can, so we can build a beautiful network
together.
If you want to make affiliate marketing works using Email Marketing... Download it now from the link

Thanks for you post.
I remember one story that my mentor told me once.
One guy visited a guru and asked him why he is living shitty and unlucky life.
Guru asked him one question:
"I will ask you just one question, and if you answer right I will share a secret that only few people know it,
and this secret will change your life. But if you answer it wrong, you will lose everything."
The guy согласился (sorry, forgot a word 😂 ), they had a deal eventually.
So guru asked him: "Tell me how many red items do you see in this room?"
The guy was so afraid to be wrong, but he focused and counted all red items and answered with "7! Am I
right?"
Damn, I forgot the end of the story. Sorry. Come back later, I'll ask my mentor again )))

Affiliate Marketing Possible Without Being a Scumbag?

Yeah, start an online magazine. Magazines have ads, people know that. People pay money for a book of
ads all the time. So, your magazine is even better, it's free and it's delivered via email, they enter their
email to become a member, it's free to cancel at any time, etc. The autoresponder should have visually
nice looking content, so use Canva Pro and get access to their 60 million stock photos, or use
ShutterStock/Adobe Stock/Istock, they're all around 750 images/month for $200/month. Use socials and
paid ads to drive traffic in.
Also magazines are broad not niche, so don't fall in that trap if you go that route.
Or market it as an email list service like Stacked Marketer.
Traffic is harder to buy
Bullshit there are more options to buy traffic from then ever before, but what people do is they all go to
the same traffic sources and bid against each other, creating a giant ad bubble.
Not only are payouts complete shit compared to what they were 14 years ago, but legit offers are
almost impossible to find...
What the hell are you talking about? There's more networks of offers then I even know what to do with... I
have multiple spreadsheets of networks...
I'm trying to get back into affiliate marketing, but every offer out there worth a damn is just still a
total scam... for example some of the top offers on networks I still work with are...
Dude. Diet pills are not a scam. You take them when you are a diet and they help you to lose weight by
keeping your appetite down and your energy levels up, which is useful because you need to work out
regularly. Professional athletes take caffeine as a work out supplement and it is in every diet pill that I am
aware of. The pill does not lose the weight for you, it is an aid...
bull shit ecomm offers (hey get a free smartwatch, just pay 6$ in shipping, but what we don't tell
you is we'll charge your credit card 80$ every month until you close your bank account).
Well then don't promote that stuff...
You know what's sad? If you're doing PAID affiliate marketing, you almost have to run these offers
because nothing else pays near as well as these offers (and they don't pay that well at all for
basically scamming people).
Yeah you can't do highly ethical marketing and run paid ads very easily. The only way that I am aware of
that works consistently is to build an email list, but this is trickier to do than most people think because
there's no integrations for your ESP and the affiliate tracker.
There's plenty of ways to do it, but most affiliates are just too lazy and can not be bothered. The
absolute easiest way is to drop the tracking parameter data into a cookie, then have a script on the thank

content
tracking pixel. Create
You can not legally do that in the EU because of the laws, but I doubt anybody on the smaller advertising
networks would notice and you an always just force them to consent to cookies with a popup.
I went the route of creating my own DMP (data management platform), which was crazy hard by
comparison and I don't recommend going that route. It was months of development time...
Every other legit affiliate program, amazon for example, doesn't pay nearly enough to make it
work with paid advertising. Same goes for 99% of other legit white hat offers.
Yeah fuck amazon. When they paid 10% it was great. Now fuck them. That's the lesson I learned, it's
gotta pay a decent amount like 10%+ or I can't be bothered. I'm not taking my amazon sites down, but
I'm not building any new ones. I personally feel like I got robbed... That was a lot of time put in to build
out sites and the math was calculated and worked at being paid 10%, not 2%...
Now obviously im generalizing a lot here, but I'm also putting this out there so hopefully someone
can prove me wrong and say "affiliate marketing with paid traffic can still be very profitable
without selling your soul to the devil, have you tried X offers?".
Yeah you have to build an email list... The strategy is you promote offers until your cost per lead and your
earnings per lead equalize, then you use the email list to promote content and your social media
accounts, where you try to multiply that list of leads into new leads using organic traffic. This is not easy
to do, it's very involved, and most affiliates can not be bothered.
This all goes in a loop.
Paid Traffic -> Landing Page -> Email List -> CPA Offers/Affiliate Offers -> | Break Even| -> Content
Marketing -> Socials Media Accounts -> Social Content -> Blog -> Lead Collection Form -> Email List
Obviously you can still promote affiliate offers after the break even point, it's just not the best for fast
growth (which is kind of slow because it takes time to make money with email marketing, it's not instant
like arbitrage. Break even could easily be 2-3 months.)
Sometimes the equalization never happens, but the paid ads massively speed up the process of testing
stuff, but the strategy would change to be purely organic if that is the case. Most big publishers do
purely organic because it costs way less to get subscribers/leads. If the site is popular then it will actually
rank in Google, so it becomes more of a game to just create content and promote it on their socials/push
notifications/email list.
I'll save you some trouble: If you go that route you really need to keep the CPC down at or below about
$0.15 and the CPL should be at or under $0.50. If you figure out that your EPL is way higher than $0.50,
then you can scale super fast. Ideally it would be more like $1-2, but don't fall into the trap thinking that
email leads are worth $50, that's for like real estate agents and banks...
But I don't know if those people hang out around here.
I'm launching a new brand in like days and won't have time. I'll have to manage 5 social media accounts,

to main like a lifetime ago, I was a copywriter in the Biz Op industry for some
1 very well-known gurus.
Create
It felt dirty, but I largely brushed it off because the truth was that the products I put together worked. It's
just that we were selling business plans to folks that only worked in retail, and so didn't understand that
starting your own business, even an online one, was both risky and a ton of work.
Back then I could see how incestuous these lists were getting because everyone was playing the "launch
game". It was simply unsustainable, because with everything moving towards automation, about the only
thing that would be left to sell would be tools and pretty much the same Marketing 101 material that is
still going around today.
So I suggested that the big gurus put together the "Biz-Op to End All Biz-Op" programs. Essentially a
lifetime "super program" that was continuity, and included every single new program that would come
out by anyone worth listening to. That way they would never have to RISK MONEY on another program,
they would just get the best info there was for one monthly fee, and we could all just focus on
RETENTION, which meant we would be moving from "turn and burn" selling the sizzle style pitches to
actually investing in the communities that we were essentially just marketing to each other with.
I was told that it would never work because the "gurus" were mostly short-sighted and wanted as much
money today as possible. That continuity long-term would never work.
Then not too long afterwards - actually after $1 trials got lynched by the FTC and credit card companies
- Ryan Deiss and friends launched Clickfunnels, basically proving me right.
The point being - I still think this could work. I STILL think there is a way to aggregate buyers of affiliate
products into a continuity program that delivers way more value than they currently get from "shiny new
object syndrome". And I honestly believe that if you manage their expectations and can claim enough
marketshare, its the long-term winning strategy.
I've even come up with ways to brand yourself as a marketer specifically so that you can grow a
community even if you happen to promote a shitty offer for the money while still being honest about it.
Of course, I might not be the best person to listen to. I have a lot of integrity, and while I've sold millions
of products for clients, I'm reluctant to put up some bullshit of my own just to make a huge chunk of
cash. And my bank account proves it. And selling bullshit will absolutely put a ton of money into your
pocket, it's sad to say.
But... we could all work together to build a non-profit specifically to weed out this kind of shit. Like
Consumer Reports or the BBB, but actually effective because we'd be operating using the same tactics
that work to promote shitty affiliate offers.

Perry Belcher was definitely the king of tripwire funnels, offers, and subscription models before
Russell took off with that idea and made it into what click funnels is today. Perry can pull in 6-7

I generally agree with your sentiment. It’s harder than it was, especially to do it ethically, but it can still be
done. I’m more of a product developer than an affiliate these days, but I did do affiliate marketing for
about 10 years. Like you said, finding good offers that pay enough and aren’t scammy is getting a lot
harder. I solved the issue by looking for offers with a second tier (not mlm, just a single 2nd tier) and then
focused on recruiting and helping affiliates. I thought of myself almost as an unofficial affiliate manager
growing my list of affiliates. Sure I only collect about 3% as a second tier referral, but to this day, after 2
yours of being out of this, I still have about 30 affiliates that produce about $3500 a month in profits. I do
nothing now.
Perhaps consider looking for an affiliate manager role or something with a 2nd tier.

marketer or
salesman pretty well.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbQPxhIcFaQ
But if you don't feel like watching the video then here's the tl;dr: salesmanship isn't about getting people
to buy something, it's about helping someone who wants to buy something choose the right product.
With affiliate marketing your goal is to capture web traffic from people who already have decided to buy
something, like a lawn mower or a stereo system, but they aren't sure which one they should get. Your
job is to do the research for them and provide them with a quick overview of the different options out
there.
People aren't going to take the time to research how lawn mowers work and what all the different
features mean, they are just going to google "best electric lawn mowers for small lawns" and buy one of
the first ones that fits their needs. You should be providing them with accurate information and well
thought out recommendations so they spend their money wisely.
So you shouldn't be trying to sell scam products and you shouldn't be trying to convince people to buy
something. All you should be doing is making it easier for people to find what they are looking for.

I definitely detect bitterness, and that’s understandable if you’ve only been promoting clickbank.
However many many products have an affiliate program where you can promote them and pocket a
commission. Probably stuff in your house or in your garage, stuff that you actually use.
You can promote $5k mountain bikes from REI that give you a pretty healthy commission, or software
and SaaS that also have nice commissions... some recurring for the life of the customer.
It sounds like you need to start looking outside of the normal channels that you’re used to. There’s plenty
out there to promote that’s legit and will let you sleep at night.
Also, have you considered affiliate marketing with SEO instead? You’re right about paid traffic, it’s pretty
hard to do and remain profitable for most of us.

How do you find REI as an affiliate? I just took a look and they sell what I currently sell via Amazon
affiliates. Would be nice to see higher commissions, if it's worth it.

Here's why:
Skip to main content 1 Create
At some point in time Google implemented an algorithm that evaluates the popularity of your
website and your content. A lot more goes in to this analysis than backlinks.
So the "SEO is easy" camp will do one of three things:
They will find and target low competition keywords, or they will target lower range
competition keywords and use backlink building techniques, or they will accidentally do the
things that they need to do have a popular website without realizing what they did and how it
works.
Google's reps will absolutely not tell you what they do with all of the user data they collect,
but I will. It does an analysis to predict popularity. Every time a mobile phone sends a report to
Google, that's like a little "ping."
The "SEO is hard" camp will say that since Google analyzes the popularity of the site and the
content and that it's wrong to violate the webmaster guidelines, but they won't spend money
to build an audience, so the project instantly dies and won't rank.
Yeah, it doesn't work that way. It will take years of writing high quality articles before search
engines finally send the site enough scraps of traffic for it to finally take off and build an
audience.
You have to market the site one way or another and honestly I would rather kill myself then
ever attempt to do outreach marketing ever again. Fuck that... Honestly I think I would rather
rip my dick off... It's another marketing strategy that just doesn't work unless you are already
popular, so fuck Brain Dean and Neil Patel, they're just completely full of shit... Yeah I mean
maybe that works for them because they're "Internet Celebrities." The only way that works for
most people is if they flat out tell people they are buying guest posts and what not right in the
emails they send out.
See the strategy I posted elsewhere in this thread if you want a strategy that avoids that
nonsense.

I agree with much of what you said. I haven’t had much experience
Skip to main content 1 with paid traffic I’ll
admit. The few times I’ve tried I failed miserably and gave up and went Create
back to my SEO
roots.
I know how to publish SEO content, make it rank in Google, and generate income for me.
I’ve built a business doing this and it’s how I feed my family and pay my bills, it’s like
second nature to me at this point.
The concept of ranking with SEO content is simple to me, but executing it successfully
takes some finesse and a shitload of patience.
You’re right that it does take some time for even high quality articles to rank naturally in
Google, I don’t think years plural though. I can get a site to earning a solid income within
about 12-18 months. But I’ve been doing this for a while
And I also despise outreach...

My experience has been 4-6 months, but it depends on the competition level of the
content. Bing is instant though, you can just index it in the Bing inspect URL tool and
the content will rank in a few hours.
Super easy keywords can rank instantly in Google though, but there's usually so little
traffic that it's kind of pointless.
More so, what I meant was growth in terms of the audience size, assuming you are
trying to generate email leads, followers, and push notification subscribers.
If you just purely do SEO, it's so incredibly slow...
At least if you do social media marketing along side your SEO efforts you can get
growth much more quickly because you can just pay influencers for shout outs, trade
shares, post in groups, or ask people for shares.
Plus sometimes I do get people asking for stuff like interviews or to contribute to a
post and I get a link out of it just because I actually answer my social media account
messages.

Get into service industry, loads of great offers to promote, hosting, email marketing service providers
(get response, mail chimp), landing page builders (click funnels, builderall) these are all great affiliate
products with very good commissions.

What types of traffic work here?

Sad_Professor_7441 • 3y ago •
Best would be YouTube traffic where you teach digital marketing in general and recommend these
products according to their needs. You can also start a digital marketing blog and recommend
these products where it is helpful. Make sure to provide GENUINELY helpful content for aspiring
marketers and you're set.

I have a real estate offer that works well for our partners. We payout $6M annually and you are
helping people choose a real estate agent. Message me if interested, it’s a great product and
company. Far away from these horrible scams.

I'm on my phone right bow, but they're pretty easy to find. Get response, mailchimp, click
funnels and builderall have their affiliate signup on their websites, just search them up and
signup, if you have trouble finding it then search on YouTube you'll find loads of video
tutorials for signing up to these pages. For hosting services try cj affiliates, they have
loads of hosting service offers along with many more
