CASE STUDY REPORT OUTLINE:

1. Title Page
 Title of the Case Study:
A concise and descriptive title for the case study.
 Company Name:
Name of the company or subject being analyzed.
 Date:
Date of report submission.
 Prepared by:
Names of the authors or the team members who worked on the report.

2. Executive Summary (1–2 paragraphs)


The executive summary provides an overview of the case study. Summarize the key problems,
proposed solutions, and outcomes. This section should be concise but give enough information
for readers to understand the case study without reading the full report.

3. Introduction: Provide background information on the company or organization, including:


 Company Overview:
Briefly describe the company’s industry, size, and business model.
 Purpose of the Case Study:
Explain the objective of the case study, including the key issues or challenges being
analyzed.
 Scope of the Report:
Outline the specific areas or issues the report will focus on, such as resource
management, information systems, or information economics.

4. Problem Statement: Clearly define the main problem(s) the company is facing. This section
should include:
 Challenges Identified:
List and explain the specific challenges related to company resources, information
systems, and information economics.
 Impact on the Business:
Discuss how these problems are affecting the company’s operations, efficiency,
profitability, or customer satisfaction.

5. Case Analysis: In this section, present an in-depth analysis of the company’s situation. Use
data, diagrams, or models to support your points. Break the analysis into key sections such as:
5.1 Resource Management:
Analyze the company’s use of its human, financial, and physical resources. Identify
inefficiencies or mismanagement and suggest potential areas for improvement.
5.2 Information Systems:
Assess the company’s current information systems, their limitations, and their impact on
business operations. Discuss potential benefits of implementing a new or improved
system.
5.3 Information Economics:
Explore how the company uses information in decision-making. Identify any gaps in data
usage, information asymmetry, or poor forecasting. Apply the principles of information
economics to show how better data management could improve decision-making.
6. Proposed Solutions: Propose actionable solutions for the problems identified in the case
study. Each solution should be well-reasoned and supported by evidence from the case analysis.
6.1 Resource Optimization:
Suggest ways the company can optimize its human, financial, and physical resources.
Provide specific examples of strategies such as lean manufacturing, cross-training
employees, or improving cash flow management.
6.2 Information System Implementation:
Recommend an information system strategy (ERP, CRM, etc.). Describe the features the
system should have and how it will address the company’s operational challenges.
6.3 Applying Information Economics:
Propose ways the company can better leverage data to improve decision-making, reduce
costs, and increase operational transparency. Include methods like data prioritization,
predictive analytics, or real-time reporting.

7. Conclusion: Summarize the key findings and recommendations. Restate the significance of
addressing the identified problems and the potential benefits of implementing the proposed
solutions.
