Eid Al-Fitr Celebration

Eid al fitr, as known as the “festival of breaking the fast”is one of the most significant holidays in the
Islamic calender.

Ied al-fitr also marks the end of Ramadhan, a month of fasting and spiritual reflection for muslim.
Celebrated with joy and gratitude, Eid begins with a special prayer that called “shalat al-eid”and
includes giving charity, known as “Zakat Al-fitr”to help those in need.

On this day, Muslim don their finest clothes, often new or specially for occasion. It is a tradition to
visiting people and greet with the phrase “Eid Mubarak”. Families exchange gifts and childrens
receive presents or money.

Families prepare special meals too, often including traditional dishes and sweets, such as kebabs,
samosa, the popular desserr sheer khurma, etc. it is a time for sharing meals!
