Emcee Script for District Athletic Meet Opening Program
Abraham: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, participants, and distinguished guests!
Welcome to the District Athletic Meet 2024, held here at Bien Unido Sports Complex.
Today, we come together in the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and excellence. It is a day of
celebration, not only of physical prowess but also of teamwork and dedication.
Cielo: Indeed, today is a special day! Before we proceed with our opening ceremony, let’s
ensure we’re all in a joyful mood, full of energy and enthusiasm! We’re excited to see how this
day will unfold, packed with thrilling competitions and wonderful moments. So, without further
ado, let’s officially begin the District Athletic Meet 2024!
(Doxology and Philippine National Anthem & Bohol/Bien Unido Hymn
Abraham: To set the tone for today’s event, let us begin with a solemn moment as we offer this
day to the Almighty. Ladies and gentlemen, let’s remain in silence for our Doxology to be
performed by the Tindak Dance Troop from PCPGTVSFA.
Cielo: Please remain standing for the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, Bohol
Hymn and the Bien Unido Hymn to honor our country, our beloved province of Bohol, as well
as our municipality. This will be led by Mrs. Ma. Lorell Hoybea, Principal I of Hingotanan
Elementary School.

Voice Over: Ladies and Gentlemen! For today, two of the original hosts from the Department of Education will grace this
event. Let us put our hands together to Mr. Abraham Gaviola and Mrs. Mary Cielo Padillo.

Abraham: Ladies and Gentlemen! We welcome you to the annual Bien Unido District meet!
Cielo: Where different players from 4 zones came here to win, to fly and conquer.
Abraham: This is not just any of your typical sports event. This is where the greats and the legends clash to prove whose
dream will be pushed to the next sub-congressional level.
Cielo: This is the culmination of those tiring days of practice, of those labor-laden shadow plays and of those nights of
visualizations of set plays.
Both: this is the Annual Bien Unido District Meet.
Abraham: With the theme: Fostering Camaraderie and Unity Through Sports
Abraham: What a great way to start! And now, to keep the energy going, let’s all witness the
Opening Salvo presented by the Tindak Dance Troupe of PCPGTVSFA. Let’s give them a big
round of applause!
Cielo: That was an energetic and captivating performance. Thank you so much Tindak Dance
Troupe. To officially welcome everyone to this grand event, let us hear from Mr. Joselito B.
Gurrea Principal I of BUCES, to deliver the Words of Welcome.
Abraham: Thank you so much sir Jugor for the warm words of welcome. Now, let’s meet the
teams who will compete in various sports and games during this athletic meet!
Cielo: To present the Participating Teams, we have Mr. Wilbur Hoybea, Assistant District
PESS Coordinator. Let’s welcome him with a round of applause.
Abraham: Thank you so much sir Wilbur for acknowledging and presenting the participating
teams. This athletic meet wouldn’t be possible without the leadership and guidance of our local
government. To inspire us with their support and vision for this event, let us now hear from our
honorable guests. First, let us welcome Honorable Rene B. Borenaga, Municipal Mayor of
Bien Unido, for her message.
Cielo: Thank you very much, Mayor Borenaga. Next, we have Atty. Leonardo Querubin Jr.,
SB Member and Education Committee Chair, to give his message.

(Hoisting of Delegation Flags)
Cielo: And now, we proceed to one of the most symbolic parts of this ceremony — the Hoisting
of Delegation Flags. Each flag represents the pride, strength, and determination of our
participating teams.
Abraham: We invite the representatives of the following zones to come forward as their flags
are raised:
- Zone 1 Delegation: Nueva Esperanza IS, Liberty ES, Bien Unido Academy, Mandawa ES
- Zone 2 Delegation: Bien Unido Central ES, Tuboran ES, Nueva Estrella ES, Puerto San Pedro
ES, PCPGTVSFA, Modesto G. Garcia HS
- Zone 3 Delegation: Mallingon ES, Pinamgo ES, Sagasa ES
- Zone 4 Delegation: Hingotanan ES, Hingotanan NHS, Ponciano L. Padin NHS, Maomawan IS,
Bilangbilangan Daku & East ES
Cielo: As the flags are hoisted, may we all stand and give a round of applause to each
delegation as a sign of our support and encouragement.
Abraham: Congratulations to the winning team for making it the first to hoist their flags.
Cielo: At this juncture, let us listen to a message to be delivered by the barangay captain of
Poblacion, Honorable Vanessa N. Avenido.
Abraham: Daghang salamat Kap sa imong undanon nga mensahe.
Cielo: At this point, I would like to request the athletes to participate in the Oath of Amateurism.
To lead us, may we call on Keith Revan R. Berjame, Provincial Level High Jump athlete from
PCPGTVSFA.
Abraham: Thank you so, Keith, for leading the athlete in that pledge to uphold the true essence
of sportsmanship.
Cielo: Now, let us proceed to the Pledge of Officiating Officials, which will be led by Mr.
Pantaleon Gulle Jr., Principal 1 of PCPGTVSFA.
Abraham: Thank you, sir Jun, for leading the officiating officials in their solemn pledge. And now,
for one of the most symbolic moments of our event --- The Lighting of the Frienship Flame,
signifying unit, peace, and start of fair and friendly competition. To lead this, we invite John
Rubin B. Canete, a Provincial Level Swimming athlete from Hingotanan National High School.
Cielo: Thank you, John, for lighting the flame that will guide us through this journey of friendship
and sportsmanship. At this moment, we will now hear a message and an official declaration of
the opening of the Bien Unido District Athletic Meet. To do the honors, we now call on Mr.
Francisco O. Lofranco, Public Schools District Supervisor.
Abraham: Thank your, sir Loloy, for that statement. And with that, we conclude our Opening
Program. To all our athletes, coaches, and supporters, we wish you the best of luck. May you all
exemplify the true spirit of sportsmanship throughout this event.
