Here is a list of projects in EV charging and battery charging spaces that could serve as potential

simulation projects.

Number of team members: Group of 2 to 5

Bonus: 5-15%

Evaluation Criteria:

Simulation Project - Students choose a reading topic on one of the applications of power converters
and/or voltage source converters in energy systems, and reproduce the results reported in this paper
by means of time-domain simulation. A report presenting the theoretical background, system model,
system parameters, control design steps, and simulation results along with a softcopy of developed
models should be submitted (by email) by December 2, 2024, 6:00 pm.

One page summary on proposed Simulation Project should be submitted by September 23, 2024,
6:00 pm for instructor’s approval.

Evaluation of Simulation Project is based on the quality of submitted reports, developed model, and
a 15-minute presentation (on Nov 25th or Dec 2nd) summarizing key findings in the project followed
by 5 minutes Q&A.
