Monique is always enjoying barbecues and delicious meals and desserts where

them very different. Nathaly loves going to the gym and having a healthy life but Jamie
doesn’t.
Nathaly often goes to the gym 3 times a week and spends 2 hours exercising. She is
also very good at swimming and plays basketball pretty well. She always enjoys eating
fruit and vegetables with every meal. She is a total a gym rat! On the other hand, Jamie
hardly ever exercises and never goes to the gym. She loves staying at home, watching
movies and eating junk food. She loves snacks and candies.
She eats them almost always. She usually invites Nathaly to her house to eat and watch
movies because that is her favorite activity. She is a couch potato. Nathaly usually tells
her to eat healthy and exercise more, but she says she doesn’t like that. They sometimes
they fight about this, but they are really good friends and love spending time together.

Exercise 10: Read the following letter and choose the correct pictures.
Los Angeles
California July 18th, 2021
Dear Dawn,
I love my new home here in LA. Now that I moved I am trying to do some changes in
my life. I want to turn from a couch potato into fitness freak, if you know what I mean.
I am waking up at 7: 00 am every day to go jogging. I spend 1 hour doing that and
then I do aerobics for 50 minutes. Sometimes I try to do yoga but I hardly ever finish
because it’s too hard. Anyway, there’s a pool here at the building I live in, so I usually go
swimming. Another thing is that there’s a gym so I started going 4 times a week and my
favorite thing is the treadmill. I feel like it’s easier than lifting weights and you burn a lot
of calories. I am also trying to eat healthy but sometimes I have a dessert or a burger.
I hope you can visit me soon, please let me know if you can come I would love to see
you. I miss you very much.
Love, Layla
