B. Tujuan Pembelajaran
Setelah melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran teks deskriptif, peserta didik mampu :
1. Menyebutkan beberapa kata sifat terkait materi teks descriptif tempat-tempat wisata.
2. Membedakan fungsi sosial, struktur tes dan unsur kebahasaaan teks deskriptif
3. Menguraikan ide pokok teks deskriptif sederhana tulis tentang tempat wisata sesuai dengan

Candi Prambanan or
Candi Rara Jonggrang is a
nineth-century Hindu
sanctuary situated in Central
Java, Indonesia, and devoted
to theTrimurti, the statement
of God as the Creator
(Brahma), the Preserver
(Vishnu) and the Destroyer
(Shiva). The sanctuary
compound is more or less 17
kilometers (11 mi) upper east
of the city of Yogyakarta on

The sanctuary compound which is considered as an UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the

DESCRIPTIVE TEXT
1. Definition (Pengertian)
Descriptive text adalah salah satu jenis teks yang isinya menggambarkan sesuatu (orang/
binatang/ benda/ tempat) dengan menggunakan kata sifat yang melekat pada sesuatu yang akan
dideskripsikan.
2. Tujuan komunikatif (social function)
Tujuan komunikatif dari descriptive text adalah untuk mendeskripsikan / menggambarkan
sesuatu dengan kata-kata sifat yang mmelekat pada objek yang akan dideskripsikan agar
pembaca dapat membayangkan sesuatu itu melalui kata – kata yang ditulis dalam descriptive
text tersebut. To describe something (untuk mendeskripsikan sesuatu).
3. Generic structure
Adapun susunan paragraph descriptive text yaitu:
a. Identification
Paragraf identification yaitu paragraph/ bagian teks yang menyebutkan sesuatu yang akan
dideskripsikan.
b. Description
Paragraf description adalah paragraph/ bagian teks yang mendeskripsikan / menggambarkan
sesuatu dengan menggunakan kata sifat ang melekat pada sesuatu tersebut.
4. Language features
a. Menggunakan Simple Present Tense
Descriptive text menggunakan pola kalimat Simple Present Tense. Teks ini mendeskripsikan
fakta-fakta yang melekat pada suatu objek, dan salah fungsi dari Simple Present Tense adalah
untuk menunjukkan suatu fakta atau kebenaran
