Notice
What concepts have been emphasized in the task and infographics? Give at least four.
1. Understanding the ideas of Action Research
2. The Action Research Process
3. Models and Guides for Action Research
4. Action Research Cycle

Since the 3 models are all for action research, what are the common elements of the three?
There are the two models (McNiff&Whitehead 2006 and Nelson O.2014) have the same
elements such as observe, reflect, plan, and act. However, the McNiff&Whitehead 2006
have evaluate and modify. On the other hand, a model named DO 16 has different
elements such as key components and process of action research.

Reflect
As a future teacher, is conducting an Action Research worth doing?
Yes, conducting an action research as a future teacher is worth doing.
Why?
The use of action research enables teachers to identify areas for improvement in teaching
practices. By focusing on real-world problems, it is possible to enhance the learning
outcomes and increase the engagement of learners.
How can AR be useful for every classroom teacher?
Action research is useful for every classroom teacher by identifying the classroom
problems then giving solve it and also fostering reflection and critical thinking that helps
for teachers to analyze their practices and develop new insights.

Write Action Research Prompts

OBSERVE
Remembering my classroom observations in FS 1, I noticed that there are many questions that I
raised in my mind. These include:
a. How the teachers handle the students’ behavior in the classroom?
b. How students support their learning through using technology?
C. What are the competencies that usually have in the teachers? Is it effective for learners?

REFLECT
Thinking deeply about those problems, perhaps something must have been done to solve the
problem or answer the question, like:
a. Conduct a survey about the student hard focus on academics.
b. What are the teaching strategies to understand the literary pieces?
C. What are the skills that must need in teaching?

PLAN
Now, that I am in FS 2, I plan to make a plan for my solution to problem (choose from a, b, c)
because
I plan for my solution to problem (Lack of Students’ Comprehension in English Subject) since I
was in high school, I remembered many students struggle to respond some questions through
second language as a result did not understand it. Also, I am one of them, so when it comes to
my mind that I need to do research regarding this problem.

ACT
My action will come later, given enough time in FS 2 or during my Teaching Internship.
