Projects

Click Stream and Social Media Analysis using Apache Spark

January 2015 to April 2016
Members: Rutvik Parmar, Sayali Tanawade, Rutuja Patel
Project focuses on achieving sub second latency i.e. processing the streaming data generated through social
media or clickstreams in real time using in-memory data processing engine Apache Spark.

Achievements – Won,
● 1st Prize in Texyphr project competiton at MIT, Pune.
● Best Project in the Data Mining Domain and Best Concept in overall projects in Conevene 2k16,
Sinhagad College, Pune.
● 2nd Prize in Prakalp’16 Project Competition at VIT, Pune
● 3rd Prize in project competition at Cummins College, Pune.
Smart Job Search
May 2016 to December 2016
Members: Rutvik Parmar
Project focuses on creating your own smart dashboard for job search using the emails from your own mai-
box. Email are extracted and staged in Apache Cassandra, further pre processing is done using Natural-
Language Processing Toolkit to filter out the mails on the basis of keywords such as Job Title, Location,
etc. More-over real-time visualisations are created which gets updated as soon as the mails comes into
your mailbox. Real-time visualisations are created using some of the technologies like graph databases
(Neo4j, Titan, etc.).
