● Describing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (CLO1)

Purpose
● This assessment requires the students to explain the key concepts, techniques and
ethics involved in the reporting of sustainability issues.

Task Instructions
 Individual work
 Choose 2 sustainable development goals
 Write a short article of about 200 – 300 words describing the chosen SDGs and
why you think it’s important to be addressed in Malaysia/your home country.
 Post your short writeup on the forum task located on SPECTRUM.
 Read and comment on 1 of your classmates’ forum post on SPECTRUM (short
critical response, 1-2 paragraphs only) Your response must elaborate on
something you agreed on/ disagreed on, or adding your own opinion about the
issue. (cannot be a ‘Good job, your writing is good!’ kinda comment)
Format of Forum (Individual)
Your assessment submission should comprise the following:
 List your name and the SDGs you chose.
 Provide a brief description of the 2 selected SDGs.
 Explain why you think those SDGs are most important to be addressed in
Malaysia/your home country (give specific examples of issues).
 Refences: List the sources of information you referred to in completing the
assessment
