SQUARE ROOTS
The square root of a number is the value which when 2×2=4
multiplied to itself gives the original number.

We can use it to find the length of the sides of a

square when we find the area. 3×3=9

HOW TO FIND SQUARE ROOTS 10

OF A PERFECT SQUARE
Identify numbers like 4, 9, 25, which are products
of integers multiplied by themselves. Then, 4×4=16
determine the integer that equals the perfect
square when squared
means "the square root of""

This is the symbol for the square root. When

trying to find a square root, as said, think of

SQUARE
integers that could possibly equal the perfect
square.

√16 = 4 or √25 = 5
