ANTS AND
ELEPHANTS
BY:I MADE ANDI MARTADI
One day, in a lush forest, the
Elephant and the Ant met at a
wide river. Small ants find it
difficult to cross rivers, while
elephants can easily do it
thanks to their large and strong
bodies.
The ant asked the elephant for
help to get him across. The
Elephant generously agreed and
carried the Ant across the river on
his back. However, while in the
middle of the river, suddenly a very
strong current appeared. The
elephant had difficulty keeping its
balance and began to sink. The
ants panicked and started biting
the Elephant's ears to wake him up
from his fear.
When the Elephant began to regain control
of himself, he realized how much the Ant's
help would mean in this situation. With the
help of the persistent Ant, the Elephant
managed to cross safely. However, not
long after they reached the edge, a new
problem arose: The elephants realized that
there were hunting traps around the forest
that could harm them.
Ants, although small,
have knowledge of the
forest and its traps. He
helped the Elephant
by showing him a safe
path and leading him
through the traps until
they reached a safe
place.
Moral
The lesson from this story
is: "Strength and size are
not everything; help and
cooperation from anyone,
no matter how small, can
be invaluable in overcoming
any problem."
