Assignment #3: Be innovative!

ALL Class – 30 Marks (15 for the documentation and 15 for the presentation)
Innovative Bank Transformation Document: "Bank/Branch Kiosk Walk-In Service Entitlement"

You will be granted an opportunity to write a Bank transformation document, this is pending your
performance in writing and presenting a project document for “Bank/Branch Kiosk walk in Service
Entitlement” to attain a human based bank service.
You will be using your skills in understanding.
1. Microservices and DevOps concepts
2. Permissioned Blockchain technologies
3. Kisok systems technologies as biometric identifications, etc.,
4. Process mapping realization and elicitation, drawing work flows by BPMN 2.0

• Your document will target C-Level (a max of 10 A4 including graphs and references, all around
one-inch margins and times new roman font size 11, single space)
• You will run THREE presentations as per the below:

I. First Presentation (+Executive document) should at least include the below.


1. Introduction:
Provide a rationale for the transformation, emphasizing the need for a modernized, efficient, and
green bank kiosk system.
2. Anticorruption Personnel Behavior:
Incorporate the principles discussed on February 3rd class regarding anticorruption measures.
3. Current State Assessment:
• Perform a short assessment of the current gate entrance kiosk system.
• Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis).
4. Areas for Improvement and Technology Choice:
• Identify specific areas that need improvement, such as speed, security, and user experience.
• Justify the choice of DevOps and microservices for agility, scalability, and faster development
cycles.
5. Reuse of Microservices:
Emphasize the modular nature of microservices and how they can be reused in other activities.
6. Outsourcing Microservices:
• Discuss the possibility of outsourcing certain microservices to specialized providers.
• Evaluate the pros and cons of outsourcing, considering cost-effectiveness and expertise.
7. Monitoring and Deployment Tools (AWS):
• Utilize AWS technology components for monitoring and deploying the system.
• Highlight specific AWS services like AWS CloudWatch for monitoring.
8. Summarization:
Summarize the key points discussed, emphasizing the strategic alignment of DevOps,
microservices, and permissioned blockchain in the transformation process.

Presentations’ Structure (ALL CLASS):


I. Extended Presentation (30 minutes):
• Introduction (5 mins)
• Areas for Improvement and Technology Choice (10 mins)
• Your solution: DevOps in Developing and Deploying Upgraded Kiosk Software (20 mins)
• Conclusion (5 mins)

II. Internal Marketing Presentation to your bank staff (10 minutes)

III. C-Level Executive Presentation (15 minutes):


• High-level overview of the transformation plan.
• Key benefits of integrating DevOps and microservices
• Potential impact on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Address any specific concerns or questions raised by the executive.

Ensure that the presentations are well-coordinated, engaging, and focused on the strategic value of the
proposed transformation. Use visuals, diagrams, and concise language to convey complex technical
concepts to both the group and the C-level executive audience.
