DEFINITION
DevOps is the practice of operations and
development engineers practicing together in the
entire lifecycle, from design through the entire
development process all the way to deployment
and production support.

DevOps has strong affinities with Agile and Lean


approaches. The old view of operations tended
towards the “Dev” side being the “makers” and the
“Ops” side being the “people that deal with the
creation after its birth”

In simple terms, DevOps is no new role or job title.


It’s just a way of working. It is the people with both
developer and operations skills.

software development and delivery process that is more
efficient, responsive, and customer-focused.

Agile promotes cross-functional teams that include


developers, testers, designers, and product owners
who work collaboratively on delivering value to
customers. DevOps extends this collaboration by
including operations and infrastructure teams. This
collaboration helps ensure that development and
operations teams are aligned and working toward
common goals.

This collaboration helps organizations deliver value to


their customers more effectively and adapt to changing
requirements and market conditions.
IMPLEMENTATION
Jira: Jira is a popular project and issue tracking tool that helps
manage software development projects. It allows you to
create and track tasks, issues, and user stories.

Slack: Slack is a team collaboration tool that allows real-time


communication and collaboration among team members.

Jenkins: Jenkins is a widely used automation server for


building, testing, and deploying software.

Docker: Docker is a platform for containerization, allowing you


to package applications and their dependencies into
containers.
