Windows Virtual Desktop Setup Instructions

Chang School of Education has given you access to the Windows Virtual desktop to use the
various applications.

Important:

Before you begin to do the setup, please complete the steps required to enable MFA:

● Windows Users
1. You can download and install Remote Desktop through one of the links below:

○ You need to choose the 32-bit or 64-bit based on your system requirements

○ 32-bit: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2139456

2. Lunch the application and click on Subscribe.

Reminder: While working on a lab computer, always save your work to Google Drive or another cloud
storage service, as files saved to a lab computer will be lost when you log out of the VM.

3. Use your Torontomu email address and password to sign in.(e.g.


[email protected]).

Note: If you encountered the error that there is no workspace associated with you,
please click on “Subscribe with URL” in step 2, and then copy-paste the following link:

5. Select the session, and it will ask you to sign in again

Reminder: While working on a lab computer, always save your work to Google Drive or another cloud

6. Log out of the session. DO NOT Disconnect or Close the session

● Mac Users (macOS 12 or later)


1. You can download and install Windows virtual desktop using the link in App Store
2. Click on the Workspace option and copy and paste the URL

3. Use a work or school account

4. Use your Torontomu email address and password to sign in. (e.g.,

● Chromebook Users (Chrome OS 53 or later)


1. You can download and install Windows virtual desktop using the link using Google

Play Store

2. In the Connection Center, tap +, and then tap Add Workspace.

3. In the Email or Workspace URL box, copy and paste the URL

4. Use a work or school account
