Sub: Winter lnternship Traininq for Colleqe Students at ONGC. Chennai for the vear 2024-25

ln terms of the instructions contained in the Office Order No, ONGC/ER/CPfiRG/001 daled 02.12.2010 issued by Corporate
Policy Section, Department of Employees Relations, ONGC, Dehradun on the subject, SDC Chennai proposes to invite
applications from the eligible college students for undergoing winter intemship training at ONGC, Chennai, as per the
following schedule:
Last Date for Receipt of Applications 25m October 2024
Finalization of List 0n or before 08h November 2024
Date of commencement of Training 18s November 2024 onwards
Training Duration / Period One llonth (During the period 18.11.2024 to 28.02.2025\

General Guidelines:
1. Total no, of seats restricted to 75 for this Training and the criteria considered for selection would be:
a. Selection y{ould be on the basis of marks obtained in the last univeBity exam.
b. Preference would be given to studenG from colleges in the yicinity of Chennai Work Center.
c. First preference would be given to immediate wards of OilGC Employe6 serving / retired (No
preference will be given to relatives and fiiends of ONGC employees).
d. Total number of seats shall vary depending upon the availability of respective mentors, in vanous disciplines.
e. lntemship training dates may vary, as per the requiremenb and convenience of lrer ors'
2. The students shall not be orovided anv financial assistance. travel exoenses. lodoino, boadino. medical or anv other
facilitv by ONGC during such training. The students will not have any claim for job in ONGC after completion of such
training.
3. Application tound incomplete or not fulfillinq the elioibilitv criteria laid doryn will be summarilv reiec{ed.

5. Winter trainings for regular Gmduate/Post Graduate (recognized/ approved by UGC/AICTE) students are provided by
ONGC only once in the following disciplines:
* t.Sc. (Geology / Geophysics / Chemistry)
* BE / B. Tech. (Petroleum / Chemical/ Computer Science / lT / Civil/ Electrical/ Electronics & Telecommunication)

Apolication Procedure:
The candidate has to apply through attached prescribed application form (Annexurel) and submit to the office of Head SDC,
Chennai with the following documents as a prerequisite:
1 . Reference / Soonsorship letter from the Colleoe / Universitv / lnstitute
2. Coov of marks / orade sheet of the last semester & a mDv of Class 10 +2 mark sheet.
3. Copv ol caste certificate (ln case of SC/ST/OBC students),
4. Self-attested coov of Aadhar Card & Colleoe lD Card.
5. ln case of ward of ONGC emplovee. student's name must be endorsed in the coDV of Emplovee lD and sioned bv
ONGC Emolovee.
Comoletion Procedure:
1. On successful completion of training, the student would be required to submit a report in soft copy to SDC, Chennai
([email protected],in) and in hard copy to their respec{ive lilelrtor.
2. On the basis of report submitted by the student, lvlentor will issue a letter of completion (Annexure.2) to the student
specifying the period of training and the topics/subject on which the internship was conducted, thereafter, SDC- Chennai
will issue certiflcateof completion.
