4.4- What are the differences among direct mapping and associative mapping?

management:
1. Direct Mapping: Each block of main memory maps to exactly one cache line. The
mapping is determined using a modulo function based on the cache size, making it simple
and efficient but limiting flexibility and potentially leading to cache conflicts.
2. Associative Mapping: Any block of main memory can be mapped to any cache line,
enabling more flexible placement and reducing the likelihood of cache conflicts. This method
is more complex and requires additional hardware for efficient implementation compared to
direct mapping.

fields. List and define the three fields.
1. Block Offset: Specifies the position of a byte within a block of data stored in the cache. It

2. Cache Index: Identifies which cache block (or line) within the cache the data should be
stored in or retrieved from. It is derived from a subset of the bits in the memory address.
3. Tag: Identifies the memory block's address in main memory that corresponds to the cache
