Job Profile

Job Title: Carpenter Helper


Directly Reports to: Project In-Charge, Formworks Engineer
Indirectly reports to: Formworks Technician Team Leader, Master Builder
Coordinates with: Team Scaffold Erectors, Carpenters, Warehouse in
Charge, Survey Team, Rebar & Concreting team
Supervises: None

Job Overview:
A Carpenter Helper is responsible for the installing & stripping system
formworks that supports the building process during construction.
A Carpenter Helper can prepare formworks system materials and make formwork
and falsework 'casts' or moulds to form concrete items like foundations,
staircases, Slab & beams, columns and walls.
Main Duties/ Responsibilities

 Reports directly to the Formworks Engineer


 Coordinates with the Formworks Technician Team Leader, Master builder
 Informs immediate superior for any urgent safety matters

Specific Tasks to be performed:


 Receives instructions from Formworks Technician Team Leader
 Implements formworks tasks accordingly using the appropriate
tools and equipment.
 Observe safety at all times
 Assemble and Dismantle Scaffolding/shoring
 Install system formworks
 Strip System formworks
 Sorts, stacks, and store dismantled scaffolding tools and equipment
 Perform 5s at the workplace

Qualifications (Skills, Experience, Competencies)

● Physically fit
● At least a high school or vocational graduate
● Work experience in related field is a plus but not necessary
● Comfortable on working at heights
● Safety conscious
● Can read basic linear measurements
● Can understand Sketch drawings
Resources required for the job:

● Scaffolds equipment
- Pipes, clamps, pulleys, ropes, access stairs assembly, working
platforms, toe boards,

● Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs)


- Hardhat, Earplugs, Safety goggles, rubberized gloves, coverall,
safety shoes, safety harness

● Approved Formworks plans / layout

Cost of Formworks equipment:


● Cost per sq.m. formworks equipment:
- P 2,500.00/sq.m. Below 3meters height
- P 4,500.00/sq.m. Above 3meters height

● Cost per sq.m. formworks Labor:


- P 230.00/sq.m. Below 3meters height
- P 280.00/sq.m. Above 3meters height

● Cost of Formworks Personal tools


- P 2,400.00 / set / person

● Cost of PPEs
- P 3,500.00 / set / person

Entry salary
● Ranges from minimum wage of P 468.00/day to 800.00/day, depending
on the skills and competencies performance.
