1. Find the center of a circle that is circumscribed about the triangle with the vertices (0, -2), (7, -3) and (8,
-2).
2. Two vertices of an equilateral triangle are (10, -4) and (0, 6). Find the third vertex.
3. Find the point on the y-axis that is equidistance from (6, 1) and (-2, -3).
4. The ordinate of a point P is twice the abscissa. The point is equidistant from (-3, 1) and (8, -2). Find the
coordinate of P.
5. Find the value of x in (x, 4) if the point is 10 units distant from (0, -2).
6. The sum of the distances from a point P to (8, 0) and (-8, 0) is 20. If the abscissa of P is 6, find the
ordinate.

9. Find the slope of the line perpendicular to the line passing through the given points:

10. The slope of the line perpendicular to the line through (-3, -2) and (x, 2) is -7/4. Find the value of x.
11. The vertices of a triangle are A(0, 1), B(6, 3) and C(3, 8). Determine:
a. the equations of the sides AB.
b. the equation of the median through vertex C.
c. the equation of the lines joining the midpoint of line segment AB and BC.
d. the equation of the line through B and perpendicular to side AC.
12. Find the coordinates of the point on the given line L which is equidistant from the specified points A and
B.
