-241 pieces of mango

In the number 241, what is the equivalent number of ones?tens? and
hundreds?
We can illustrate numbers through counters.
I have here straws, I grouped these straws by hundreds, tens, and ones.

Hundred

Tens

Ones

Ask: In these 3 groups, which among of these are the biggest number
the hundreds, tens or ones? How about in tens and ones which is
bigger? Ones is the smallest number among the group.
Remember: In visualizing and recognizing numbers from 101-1000,
always starts with the biggest number when reading.

Let them skip count 1’s for 7 to get 7.

=7
1 2 3 4 5 6 7
3 hundreds 5 tens 7 ones
300 50 7
Teacher will write the first number for every group and form the
number 357.
Pupils will read the number that they formed.
