1 PROJECT INTRODUCTION

1.1 Project Definition:

It's time to acknowledge that struggling is okay.
The current study aims to provide a vision for the development of mental health
specialization in Egyptian universities in the light of Egypt's Vision 2030 the project
will be therapeutic and rehabilitation-focused, akin to a journey that begins with
consultation and is more focused on PTDS situations.
What is PTSD? Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
is a disorder that develops in some people who have experienced a shocking, scary, or
dangerous event
Prevalence and Predictors of Post-Traumatic
There where a research about Stress Disorder and Insomnia among Medical
Staff during Coronavirus Disease 2019 Pandemic
The study results displayed that the prevalence of PTSD and insomnia were
55.9% and 78.7%; respectively with a significant positive correlation between PTSD
and insomnia scores
that’s why the project will accept Locals, visitors, therapists, employees, and life
coaches all of them will get benefit from the project

1.2 General background:

Historical or cultural features:
1. Mental illness was seen as a punishment from God and people suffering from it
were either burned at the stake or thrown into penitentiaries and madhouses
where they were chained to the walls or their beds. For millennia, society treated
people suffering from depression or anxiety no better than slaves or criminals.

 The Mental Health Systems Act of 1980 was also developed as a result of the
Community Support Reform movement.
 Therefore, "healing architecture" is a specific discipline of "healing
environment," which studies how the environment affects patients' healing and
recovery processes. The word was originally used in the 1980s.
 Now the number of community healing centers in the country has increased,
awareness has grown, visiting a therapist for treatment has become
commonplace,

1.2.- Justification of choosing the project

 Patients will benefit from alternative treatment methods as a result of the

project's solution to the issue of state-funded medical care more affordable
 Made patients discover themselves
 Increase medical tourism
 Use our nature in healing

1.2.1 Statistical related issues

All charts/ figures/ Design Drawings/ photos/ tables MUST be written
with captions
All of these could cause post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Famine Gaza war Civil wars

1.2.2 Objectives of the project:

The project goal is to combine elements of the natural surroundings with a variety of
activities to provide patients as they progress through the healing phases. There will be
classes for them to utilize whatever talents they may have forgotten, and there won't be
any residential units or medical equipment—just space for them to explore who they
are. It's all about removing all of their stereotypes and using nature therapy.

1.2.2.1 General Objectives

- The therapeutic centre will assist people in dealing with the traumas caused by
for example wars and famines.
- People who have experienced different types of traumas can also receive
treatment
1.2.2.2 Architect objectives
 ‘healing architecture’ will be in consideration while designing the project

 Will use holistic healing Colour Scheme in the project

 Designing the rooms with panorama windows with relaxed view
 Creating Healing Landscapes area and outdoors
 According to siwa materials will be using small opening in elevations to
decrease the sun radiation
 ‘Karshef walls
 Rounded stairs
 Semicircular arches
 Wind catchers

1.3 Proposed Preliminary project description:

The project will include hotels for both patients and therapists/life coaches, a restaurant
workshop area, the main entrance, an exhibition, a healing zone, and administration. It
will be for the private sector, and the facility will be utilised to heal people who have
experienced various sorts of trauma.

1.4 Proposed Size of the project:

- State reference center for mental care
- Building type: Therapeutic
- Location: Kenya
- Site area: 12362m2
- Architects: Penin architects

11

- The institutional and reference character of the centre is expressed with the
precision of the structural system, metric forms and the limited use of materials.
Offering various services, the building has a care area for 20 persons, day centre,
a research area with labs, classrooms, administration offices and an auditorium.

1.5 Proposed The Location (City) of the project:

According to statistical issues Egypt has been chosen because it is in the centre of
Africa, allowing people to readily come to the project for treatment. Near to (Gaza-
Sudan-Syria)
The city is especially Siwa Oasis according
One of the most important of such styles is medical tourism, which represent a style
distinct from the traditional patterns of tourism. There are many areas that have
therapeutic natural resources, as Siwa Oasis is considered one of the most important
oases that enjoy these features as will be clarified on the project. Siwa Oasis is a unique
environment that helps to reduce tension. That is why it receives about 30 thousand
tourists annually, both Egyptians and people from different other countries. they will be
welcomed on the project to get rid of all their traumas, leaving with a new, better
version of themselves also has its own materials on buildings and nature that already
help with healing, and it is surrounded by salt flats/sand dunes, they will be welcomed
on the project to get rid of all their traumas, leaving with a new, better version of
themselves. The project aims to seek recovery from medicinal plants, fresh water lakes,
baths, and salt lakes. Hot mineral springs
