Job Title: Manager - ESG and Sustainability Services
Position Overview:
GC Advisory is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to support our ESG (Environmental, Social, and
Governance) and Sustainability Services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainability
consulting, with expertise in creating and implementing ESG strategies, conducting materiality assessments, and
guiding clients through sustainability reporting engagements. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent
business development skills, a passion for sustainability, and the ability to drive impactful change.
Key Responsibilities:
Sustainability Reporting Engagements:
• Manage and deliver sustainability reporting projects, ensuring alignment with global standards such as GRI,
SASB, DJSI, EcoVadis, CDP, ESRS, IFRS and ISSB
• Guide clients through the reporting process, from data collection to final report publication.
• Provide strategic advice on sustainability performance metrics and reporting frameworks.
ESG Strategy and Roadmap:
• Assist clients in developing and implementing ESG strategies that align with their business objectives and
sustainability goals.
• Conduct workshops and facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions to gather insights and inform strategy
development.
• Create actionable roadmaps that outline key initiatives, timelines, and responsibilities.
Materiality Assessment (Incl. Double Materiality):
• Lead materiality assessments to identify and prioritize ESG issues that are most relevant to the client’s business
and stakeholders.
• Design and execute stakeholder engagement plans to gather input on material issues.
• Analyze data and synthesize findings into actionable insights for clients.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
• Mentor and lead a team of sustainability consultants, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
• Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
• Contribute to the development of the firm’s ESG and sustainability services offerings.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes that impact ESG and sustainability practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s
degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability consulting, ESG strategy, or a related field.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Strong understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks and ESG principles.
• Excellent project management, leadership skills and time management
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively keeping the team informed of work plans and progress
towards goals
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and familiarity with sustainability reporting software.
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed along with multi-tasking for multiple projects
• Be a creative problem solver; have an interest in generating ideas that are relevant to each project
• Challenges the status quo, champions change and influences others to change
