19. Assertion (A): Let function f:{1,2,3} → {1,2,3} be an onto function. Then it must be
one-one.
Reason (R): A one-one function g:A→B, where A and B are finite set and having same
number of elements, then it must be onto and vice-versa
20. Assertion (A): The number of all onto function from the set {1,2,3,4,5} to itself is 5!
Reason (R): Total number of all onto functions from the set {1,2,3…n) to itself is n!

There were 28 participants in all. Among all of them, finally three category 1 and two
from category 2 were selected for final race. Ravi forms two sets B and G with these
participants for his college project let B={b 1,b2,b3} and G={g1,g2} where B represents
the set of boys selected and G the set of girls selected for final race.

37. A dealer Ram prakash residing in a rural area opens a shop to start his business. He
wishes to purchase a number of ceiling fans and table fans. A ceiling fan costs him
Rs.360 and table fan costs Rs.240.
i) If Ram Prakash purchases x ceiling fans y table fans. He has space in his store for
atmost 20 items, than write its constraints.
ii) If he excepts to sell ceiling fan at profit of Rs.22 and table fan for a profit of Rs.18,
