Materials Needed:
 Please use a computer (Windows or Mac) with a built-in or external
webcam and a
built-in or external microphone.
 If your computer doesn’t have a built-in or external microphone, or if
you prefer not to use it, please use a telephone or a headset with
microphone attachment.
 You can also download the free Cisco WebEx Meetings mobile app for
iPhone and
Android (see alternate instructions for mobile use).

1. Open your Internet browser (Firefox, Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Internet


Explorer, Chromium, Safari) and enter the meeting URL provided to you by
the meeting host into the address bar. The meeting URL will look something
like this: https://cadot.webex.com/meet/[HOST.NAME]

2. Click the “Join from your browser” link near the bottom of the window. You
may also down-
load and use the desktop app if you prefer (see alternate instructions for

desktop app use).

3. Enter your full name and email address and click the “Next” button.

4. If a popup window appears asking for permission for cadot.webex.com to use
your micro-
phone and/or camera, click “Allow.”

5. Adjust your microphone and webcam settings as needed. The default setting
is to use your computer’s default video and audio settings (your computer’s
internal speakers, webcam, or headset/headphones, if they are plugged in).

6. Optional: If you would like to use a telephone (mobile or landline) for your
audio connection,
click the “Using computer for audio” dropdown arrow underneath the “Join
meeting” button.
Use the “Call me” option to enter in your phone number and Webex will call
your phone to
connect you to the Webex Meeting audio. Use the “Call in” option to dial in to
the connection yourself (when you join the meeting, a popup window will
appear with the dial-in instructions and access code).

7. Choose whether you would like to mute your microphone and hide your video
feed when you join the meeting. You will be able to change these settings
once you’ve joined the meeting. (Note: A red icon indicates the
microphone/video is muted/hidden. Grey indicates unmuted/ shown.)

8. Click the green “Join meeting” button when you are ready to enter the
meeting room.

9. If you see the message “You can join the meeting after the host admits you,”
that means the meeting room is currently locked to newcomers. The host
will admit you to the meeting room when they are ready.

10. Click the red “X” icon at the bottom of the page when you are ready to leave
the meeting.

11. Guide to menu bar icons, from left to right:

 Audio Connection: Adjust audio settings & mute/unmute your


microphone audio.

 Video Connection: Adjust video settings & hide/unhide your webcam


video feed.

 Share Content: Share your screen with participants.

 Recorder: Start/stop/pause recording of meeting.

 Participants: Show & hide a list of current participants.

 Chat: Open the text chat sidebar.

 More options (ellipsis icon): Access other settings, including additional


audio connec-
tion and device settings.

Materials Needed:
 Cisco Webex Meetings software application

 Please use a computer (Windows or Mac) with a built-in or external

1. Open the Cisco Webex Meetings application.

2. If you don’t have a Cisco Webex account, feel free to sign in as a guest:
enter your full name and email address and click “Next.”

3. Under “Join a Meeting,” enter the meeting information provided to you by


the meeting host (meeting number or URL) and click “Join.” Note: The
meeting number will be a 9-digit code while the URL will look something like
this: https://cadot.webex.com/meet/[HOST.NAME]

4. Choose whether you would like to mute your microphone and hide your video
feed when you join the meeting. You will be able to change these settings
once you’ve joined the meeting. (Note: A red icon indicates the
microphone/video is muted/hidden. Grey indicates unmuted/ shown.)

10. Guide to menu icons, from left to right:

 An iPhone or Android mobile phone or tablet with working microphone,
speakers, and
camera (you may also use a headset/earbuds/etc., if you prefer).
 Download the free Cisco WebEx Meetings mobile app for iPhone and
Android.

1. Open the Cisco WebEx Meetings app on your mobile phone or tablet.

2. Tap the green “Join Meeting” button (sign-in not required).

3. Enter the meeting number or URL provided to you by the meeting host.
Note: The meeting number will be a 9-digit code while the URL will look
something like this: https:// cadot.webex.com/meet/[HOST.NAME]

4. Enter your full name and email address and tap “Next. “

5. If prompted, tap “OK” to allow Webex Meet to access your microphone and
camera.

6. Tap the gear icon in the upper left corner to adjust your Audio & Video settings
if needed.
Tap “Done” when finished.

7. Choose whether you would like to mute your microphone and hide your video
feed when you join the meeting. You will be able to change these settings
once you’ve joined the meeting. (Note: A red icon indicates the
microphone/video is muted/hidden. Grey indicates unmuted/ shown.)

11. Guide to other menu bar icons:

 Toggle Microphone: Toggle microphone between muted and unmuted.

 Toggle Video Feed: Toggle video feed between hidden and shown.

 Ellipsis icon: Access additional settings. Notable settings are outlined

below.
 Audio Devices: Change your device’s audio output.

 Settings: Mobile device/data settings and help menu.

 Share Content: Share your mobile device’s screen or other files

 Chat with Everyone: Open the text chat.
