TSW Revision 6.01


Functional Changes SOFTWARE LICENSE IS REQUIRED FOR PHASE 6 TSW
and Enhancements: SOFTWARE.

• TSW now uses Software Licenses instead of dongles


and feature codes
• Added new report type for TrueAlert Self-Test Results
• Increased maximum user point capacity to 250K
• TSW now supports running with UAC ON or OFF
(Admin/Elevated privileges are still required)

Enhancement • 996404 TSW Uninstall should add prompt to optionally

Repaired Defects: Fixed Defects


• Before installing on Windows 7 64 bit systems,
Microsoft Windows Update KB3033929 must be
installed in order for the Simplex 4120 Network Card
to install/function properly.

• 988659 Foreign/Alternate Labels on a TSW doesn't stay


• 988781 TSW Unexpected Crash on 4.02.04
• 989443 2-Stage CANPUL Stage 2 does not show in History
Log if the Stage 1 was not acked first
• 989088 Job is not tagged for save after updating
UseAltLabels setting from TSWConfigurator.exe.config
• 989534 TSW Remote Client 3.01.02 will not Open on a
Customer Supplied Machine

Other Changes: TSW now comes bundled with the TSW File Transfer application
that can be used to update the ES Net NIC Card firmware.
Reserved Pseudo ES Net card’s pseudos are created dynamically in the User Pseudos
Points: range when the card is added. They are populated at the next
available location in the User Pseudos range large enough to
contain contiguously these pseudos.

In the following list, “Pxxx” represents a number that gets


dynamically assigned as cards are added to the job

Installation IMPORTANT!
Procedure for • Use “Customer PC” download
TSW PC: • Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs to
remove existing TSW programmer THEN REBOOT THE
COMPUTER before installing new TSW software.
• Run the install and follow the instructions carefully, being sure to
reboot the PC when prompted.
o if necessary, install will prompt you to install Microsoft
.NET Framework 4.
• Requires New Network Programmer version 2.04 or newer
• Requires a Software License to work. Security Service
software version 2.01 is needed to use the Software License
for pre-6.01 TSW, no dongle necessary.
• TSW Runtime (Client and Server) and configurator now
supported for Windows 7 and Windows 10 only.
• PCI network card requires PCI Driver version 4.01.01.00 or
newer to run on Windows 7 platform. This version is
installed by the TSW software install beginning with version
1.01.04.F1 TSW.
Installation • A complete TSW software installation of version 6.01 or newer
Procedure for must have been done before using this utility.
Service Laptop PC • TSW version 5 and up requires .NET Framework version 4.6.1. If
GCCREV utility: using a pre-Windows 7 pc you WILL need to do the full install of
the version 6 TSW software, which installs the .NET Framework
automatically, or get the software from Microsoft to install.
• Use “Quick-Change Utility” download
• Download the desired version of the TSWREV software to the
PC, then double click on the file to install the new version
software to the GCCREV’s folder.
• To install as the active programmer version click Start,
Programs, Simplex, TrueSite, TSW, GCC Revs, Change to 6.01.
• Note: All existing versions of TSWREV’s for TSW have been
redone to accommodate major differences between phase 1 and
phase 2 TSW. Redownload existing TSWREV versions before
changing between phase 1 and phase 2 versions for the first
time.
