I live in small house in Ba Ria City. But it has an ideal location in the city center with many
amenities of life. Everything I need is right on my doorstep, from shopping malls to bookstores,
food shops to cafes to anything else you can think of. All of those places that I have mentioned
are in walking distance which will take me merely 10 to 15 minutes to get to. My neighborhood
is located in the city center so it is negatively affected by noise and pollution problems. Heavy
traffic and shortage of trees contribute greatly to bad air quality. If there is no action taken, this
situation can be detrimental to people’s lives. So I hope that the authority can encourage people
to plant more trees in the neighborhood to create more green spaces and improve air quality.

(I am so lucky to live next to friendly neighbors who are my nearest and dearest. We get along
well with each other and having lived next to each other for many years, we often eat out
together or enjoy home-cooked meals at weekends. They are kind, generous, supportive,
and amiable. Whenever my family is faced with any adversity, we can turn to our neighbors for
advice or help and support. And when everything is settled, we just get together and throw a
party to return a favour. Sometimes, my family travels together for a long period of time, we can
ask them to keep an eye on our house. At night, we can gather, strike up a proper conversation,
make some jokes, then the whole can burst into laughter. That is the way we unwind after a long
day of working and studying.)
PART 2: IS IT IMPORTANT TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN A GOOD

Yes, having a good relationship with neighbors is absolutely essential. To be honest, despite not
having the same belief, hobbies with each other, my family still behave gently and politely in
order not to be in direct conflict with my neighbors. Maintaining a close relationship with your
neighbours can come in handy now and again. For example, they can keep an eye on your house
when you are away on holidays. I feel it’s an unwritten rule to help your neighbours when they
need and you know they would return the favour.
SET 2: HOUSE
PART 1: DESCRIBE YOUR DREAM HOUSE.
For now, I’m living in a small house with my family in Ba Ria city. It is right in the heart
of the city with a lot of hustle and bustle. At night the streets are crowded with people
from all over the city. It’s not very spacious but there is enough room for me to study.
However, this is not my dream house. I would like my dream house to be comfy and
tranquil and it should therefore be located in a rural area with a quiet and peaceful
atmosphere. The reason behind it, I love nature and greenery so if my home should be
outside of cities then I will be very close to nature. Painted grey and white, the house
would somehow look like a little palace for a royal family. Natural light is a must for this
house, and it must contain an effective window system for good ventilation. The house
would be equipped with modern appliances and air-conditioning for comfort and
convenience. Trees and flowers would be planted around it for decoration and to make it
look beautiful. My ideal house, which would be full of natural light and surrounded by a
lot of beautiful gardens, would be the perfect place for me when I am in need of
relaxation, and an escape from my heavy workload in the city. I would be able to enjoy the
fresh air, and living there would be the perfect way to relieve stress.
PART 2: MANY PEOPLE LIVING IN RURAL AREAS WOULD LIKE TO
MIGRATE TO CITIES WHILE THOSE LIVING IN URBAN CENTERS WISH
THEY COULD MOVE TO THE COUNTRYSIDE. WHICH IS BETTER: CITY
LIFE OR COUNTRY LIFE? GIVE REASONS AND EXAMPLES TO SUPPORT
YOUR POINT OF VIEW.
I believe it is a tough decision to make when it comes to choosing between living in the
countryside and living in the city. Many people have been attracted to live and work in big cities
because of better employment opportunities and higher living standards. This massive rural-to-
urban migration has, however, led to an increase in environmental pollution, traffic and social
issues in urban areas. Life in the country side moves at slow pace which means its inhabitants are
more relaxed, less stressful and leads a peaceful life. Moreover, due to thin traffic or no traffic at
all and absence of industries, there is less pollution and noise and clean environment is
conducive to good health. Consequently, members can enjoy a good support network. Apart
from that, residents of countryside can enjoy owning a large and spacious house. On the other
hand, living in the city has its own benefits. Citizens can benefit from better amenities. For
example, in cities, there are better recreational and leisure facilities like restaurants, shopping
malls, museums, opera houses etc. Furthermore, in cities, infrastructure is developed. For
example, better public transport means that people can commute with ease and convenience.
Finally, citizens can also benefit from world class educational facilities so that they could
advance and improve their lives.
SET 3: TRAVEL
PART 1: Describe a memorable trip you have had.
I’d like to talk about a trip I took to Da Lat city last summer with my best friends. To begin with,
we had to do some preparation for this trip. First, my friends and I read several travel blogs to
pick the suitable destination. After checking the weather forecast, we finally decided to go to Da
Lat – a city located on the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Because we did not contact any travel
agencies, a detailed itinerary had to be planned carefully. Having successfully booked the flight
tickets in advance, I did the packing right away. The plane took off at 7 a.m if my memory serves
me right. In the beginning, we took some photos together by the town signs as soon as we
reached Da Lat city. We befriended many local people along the trip and then also bought
souvenirs for our family members. Next, the four of us sampled the local cuisine at the night
market while having a chinwag, you know, we even discussed some travel plans in the near
future. After coming back from that trip, I posted plenty of photos on Facebook and Instagram,
which received a lot of comments. Finally, I didn’t forget to write a review of all the restaurants
we visited and posted it on a well-known travel blog to share our group’s travelling experience.
That was such an enjoyable trip that I would never forget.
PART 2: Some people prefer to go on guided tours when they travel
while others prefer to travel individually. Which do you think is
better? Give reasons and examples to support your point of view.
I reckon travelling on organised tours is a preferable option as compared with independent travel
because of its greater advantages. From my point of view taking up a guide is more preferable as
these people have knowledge which may not be in books or any kind of brochure and they also
will suggest the best and affordable places to stay, eat etc. When people accompany a tour guide,
they have more chances to be shown around must-visit places. Besides, it saves a great deal of
time for travellers since they don’t have to spend time in search of accommodation or suitable
means of transport. They also don’t have to draw up a detailed itinerary. Last but not least,
people are more highly likely to meet like-minded friends during a tour.
SET 4: EVENT
PART 1: DESCRIBE A MEMORABLE EVENT IN YOUR LIFE.
Well, when I was a child, I experienced a notable number of events but not all of them were
happy. I also cannot remember all of them clearly. But I will always remember the event of
receiving a large birthday present. It was a remote-controlled car that I had long been desiring
for. My father presented me with the gift and it was a surprise for me indeed. I was too happy
that I forgot to take my regular meals too. On that day, I was taking preparations from the early
part of the day to celebrate the event. The party with only the family members, some intimate
relatives and some of the business partners of my dad.The invited guests also brought gifts for
me marking the sixth birthday of mine. I was amazed at the gifts and the people present there
also greeted me in various ways. Since I was a small kid, I did not know actually the meaning of
celebrating a birthday but enjoyed blowing the candles and cutting the cake. I can remember this
particular event as I received the most impressive gift of my life. I have celebrated many of my
birthdays but that one was the best. I was greatly happy with the people and presents. To be
honest, I had never received such great gifts after that birthday celebration. I still can remember
the day when my parents fed me the birthday cake and everyone clapped around us. It was the
most special day of my life. Not only the gifts, I was blessed by everyone present at the event.
So, it is still vivid in my memory.
PART 2: THINGS WERE DIFFERENT IN THE PAST AND THEY HAVE
CHANGED A LOT IN THE LAST FEW DECADES. ARE THE CHANGES
POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE? GIVE EXAMPLES TO CLARIFY YOUR

In my opinion, the changes are positive. Technology has changed the way we lead our lives and
these changes are prominent over the last decade. Thanks to the Internet, nowadays people have
access to new information from all over the world easily. In the past, if you want to speak with
your friend, you would have to go directly to his house or send him a message which may take a
few days to get a response. Nowadays, it's very easy to interact with them by email, mobiles,
chatting. Due to the advancement in technology. Before, people use animals to help them travel
from one place to another which might take days to travel. Now, we spend only few hours using
the air planes which make the journey easier. The use of new technology machines is also now in
our home. We do most of the house cleaning with machines, which makes the life very easy. At
the present, the discoveries vaccinations have saved millions of lives around the world and
prevent corona virus. Nowadays, getting an education is quite simple due to the modern
infrastructure and online classes. Just with an internet connection and smartphone, we can have
access to knowledge easily. All this is possible because of modern technology.
SET 5: TECHNOLOGY

IMPORTANT.
Good Morning teacher, I am going to tell you about my story. This story is about Describing an
item of technology you have that is very important. It is a laptop of the Apple brand. I received it
on my 18th birthday. I use my laptop to study , contact my friends , watch movies and
sometimes, listen to my favorite music. I also prepare documents, do homework, send emails and
play games on it. It helped me a lot in university. Its features are really useful. In fact, I use this
laptop more often than any other electronic device I have. This laptop has become an
indispensable technology device for me that I use almost every day.

In my view , I don't suppose this opinion . The mains purpose of communication technology is to
help us to work easily . There is nothing which we can say is not available on the internet . We
can use different kinds of search engines like google , Microsoft edge , Interner explore to get
information fast . At this time , people are more up to date with information about Covid 19
epidemic and know how to prevent disease . Personally , I think online banking is great because
it takes a matter of seconds to check what is going in and out of a bank account . You just stay at
home and transfer money to any account in the world as long as you have the other person's bank
details . In today's world , through mobile phones , people can contact and can communicate with
people , friends , and relatives around the world very easily and at less cost . Maybe , you can
meet your husband or wife on Facebook , Twitter . Moreover , we can watch movies , listen to
music , play games to entertain after working hard . I think advancement communication
technology make our lives better . Although there are two sides to every issue , I hope we can
look at it more positively .

Good Morning teacher , I am going to tell you about a website that I often use . The website that
I often use is Tiktok . It is a video - sharing website . People use it to upload videos to the
Internet and present them to the rest of the world . I first heard about Tiktok in 2015 when my
friend showed me a funny video on this site . Now I use it daily to share my cool footage with
people and to check out the trendiest videos available . I find this website very handy and helpful
because of a few reasons . First and foremost , there is a variety of free information . Many
people even offer free - of - charge lessons about plenty of things , ranging from cooking ,
dancing , to building a robot . More importantly , watching videos on this site helps me ease my
mind easily
PART 2: WHICH IS BETTER: SHOPPING ONLINE OR PURCHASING IN

I would choose shopping online because it's very convenient. Most people don't enjoy spending
endless hours. This is one of the main reasons why shopping online has become popular. As it
allows you to switch stores and products just by a click rather than going to the new store. And I
can see all the price information from different stores all on screen. I can shop around for the
best price without leaving my home. today we are in covid - 19, and we should stay home to
protect ourselves and others. So I think shopping online is good for us.
SET 7: FRIENDS
PART 1: DESCRIBE ONE OF YOUR BEST FRIENDS DURING YOUR
SCHOOL DAYS.
The best friend I would like to talk about is Ý, she is my best friend since we were 6. We studied
at the same primary school and grew up together since . Our friendship started when we both had
a princess Ori figure. We talked about Ori and other princess for a long while after our classes .
And we went to different university but we always keep in touch . She's also a down - to - earth
person and a kind soul . She is always willing to help without asking anything in return .
Whenever we meet up , we often exchange our thoughts about books , songs and films , and
other social topics . I enjoy spending time with Ý because we share so many common interests . I
never feel bored spending time with her . Since we are friends for a long time , we understand
each other very well . We study together and do a lot of fun activities together . Good friendship ,
understanding , and common interests make us best friends.

I think high school friends are more important. We all are more bonded to our school friends
than we are to our college friends. Well , the reasons are pretty simple, let's have a look . They
have a lot in common with me. They will still talk to me about your Biology teacher from 11th
grade, know my favorite hometown restaurant spot, and will gossip with me about people from
high school that you see on social media. They do everything with me. When we're together on
breaks and over summer, we practically live at each other's houses. I will make any excuse to see
them when you're both in town , whether it be for an emergency late - night ice cream run or
spontaneous adventure. Back then , we used to have healthy competitions in high school . There
was no rivalry amongst our gang of friends . We would fight for 1 or 2 marks but even then if
our friend would have topped, that made us equally happy. But in college, they just fight for
themselves.
SET 8: SCHOOL/UNIVERSITY

Well, it is an interesting topic for me, to talk to you about the school that I went to when I was a
child. I think primary school that was an enjoyable school. I'm going to describe my primary
school which is very near my house. It take me about 10 minutes from my home to school, we go
to primary school at 6 years old. In summer , I could collect a lot of phoenix flowers and push in
my note books , and then I gave it to my best friend like a gift . My memory about teachers in
that school is unclear now but I still remember my fourth grade teacher . The reason is she
usually wore Ao Dai with a modern collar which could show her neck and a little of her shoulder
. And she is the only person who gave me a seat on special class for outstanding student . One of
important things I love my childhood at that school because I met my friends from there , we
played , we learned , we laughed , we ate together- There were a lot of beautiful memories that
we had made . Besides that , my school used to be a hospital in war , so that we talked about a lot
of ghost stories , dared each other and our classmates to go to girl toilet at twilight . I can
conclude that I love my school because all my special memories was there.
PART 2: DO YOU THINK COMPUTERS WILL ONE DAY REPLACE

I wouldn't really like to think that computers will and should replace teachers one day in the
classroom because students require " human touch " to behave and act like a " human " in the
real world unless , of course , we want our children to become like " human robot " . A computer
can certainly teach students how to become " smart " in the classroom , but it won't probably be
able to tell when to behave like one . A computer won't certainly be able to teach many other "
real - world " human behaviours , emotions and moral disciplines to students in the classroom
like a human teacher. Of course that Technology will not improve our education system if we
marginalize or eliminate teachers . Innovation may lead us to classroom setups and teacher roles
that look very different from today , but a human element will always be an essential part of the
equation . By framing the debate as technology vs. teachers , we create a false dichotomy .
Instead , our conversations should focus on finding ways to let technology do what it does best
so that we can leverage teachers to do what they do best .

Good Morning teacher , I am going to tell you about my story . This story is about a job which I
think is perfect for me . Since the days of my college studies , I had always been dreaming of
doing a web designing job and I consider the occupation of a web designer to be the perfect job
for me . I chose to pursue my career as web designer for various reasons . First of all , I am
extremely interested in designing web pages , brochures , magazines and many other things in
my day to day life . Secondly , the job of a web designer is very challenging as you need to think
out of the box for developing a new design every time you take up a project . Working as a web
designer requires you to be creative and innovative. I think this job matches my personality and
matches my field of study at UEF .

I think students should have a part time job while they are studying . There are many advantages

experiences which they get , will help them overcome many different situations in life easily .
Thirdly , they also have opportunities to contract with many people . Moreover , they will
become more happy and active . Besides advantages , there are also many disadvantages of
having a part time job . Firstly , it can affect the process of study . Because they spend half of
time working . Secondly , if a student is overworked , it will affect their health . Thirdly , they
will have more anxiety and will lose the precious joys of a student . And they also feel more tired
and depressed . In conclusion , there are many advantages and disadvantages of having a part
time job when being a student . Having a part time job is good , because of many benefits it
brings . Students should have a reasonable plan in order to balance between the work and the
study too .
SET 10: TEAM WORK

I'd like to talk about a team project that I was involved in during the first semester . There were
four of us on the team , and our task was to work as a local company to do advertising for our
products . Our objective was to produce a report and give a presentation . The first thing we did
was split into two groups . We had been assigned a company that produced fashion accessories ,
so two of us spent some time getting to know the company while the other two researched the
market and the competitors in the target area , which was District 1. In the end , I think it was a
successful project because we managed to identify a possible gap in that market for one of the
company's products . Our group presentation also went really well . Until that point , the course
had been all around theory , so it was quite a learning experience to work as a real company . I
felt a real sense of accomplishment when we handed in our report and delivered our
presentation , and I think all of us were proud of what we had done .

There are many advantages of freelance work . One of the greatest advantages of freelance work
is the ability to work from home . No more need for work clothing , commuting time ,
commuting expenses , sharing an office , working in a cubicle or inane chats during tea breaks .
So how is this idea ? You can Control over Jobs and Clients - When you work for someone else ,
you don't get a choice of who you work with . You can become stuck with unprofessional or rude
clients . But , when you're a freelancer , you can choose with whom you work . If you don't mesh
well with a client's personality or business or payment philosophies , you can pass on the
opportunity and wish them the best . It's as easy as that . When you worked a traditional job ,
your projects were probably handed to you . But now , you're the sole person responsible , so that
means a lot of legwork on your part . And that means you have to wear many hats , including
marketing , advertising , and sales.
