1. Little is known about how the idea of the wheel occurred to the early humans.
2. Perhaps a rolling log or a stone did the trick. People could now travel more easily and move
heavy loads faster than before.
Q2. Explain the making of stone tools during the Neolithic age. (3)

1. Stone was easily available at that time therefore, most of the tools were made of stone.
2. Early tools were made from crude stone and were used for particular needs. Later, they
discovered Flint, a type of stone and used it for making tools and weapons.
3. Flint chips easily and is moulded into different shapes, so small and big stones were used
to make tools and weapons.
4. Axe head hammers and choppers were made from big stones. The axe head was tied to a
stick that made it more efficient tool. Knives and scrapers were made from small pieces
of stones. Arrows and Spears made from smaller stones were used to hunt animals.
