INTERACTION 2012
Rules and Regulations
Kabadi
Each team should consist of 7 players and 3 reserves. Each team will occupy half of the field o 10m x 13m (Boys) o 8m x 11m (Girls) Each game will consist of 2 rounds which will each be 7 minutes long. There would be a one minute break in between games. The opposing team wins a point each time a player is out. If the entire opposing team is declared out, a team scores a bonus of two points, called a loan. The raider is sent off the field if: o The raider takes a breath before returning o The raider crosses the boundary line o Any part of the raider's body touches the ground outside the boundary Cricket A team should consist of 7 players. There will be 5 overs per innings which would last for 15 minutes. The bowling team will only get to bat for the number of overs they have bowled within 15 minutes (with the actual target). A wide ball will give 4 runs. A no ball will give 2 runs If the last ball of the innings is a wide, it has to be re-bowled. Tag Rugby One game will consist of 2 seven-minute rounds with a one minute break in between. Athletics The athlete will be given a warning after the 1st false starts and will be disqualified afterwards. Athletes will not disqualify if the baton falls. The top 3 athletes from each heat will qualify to the next round 8 athletes per school are allowed to participate
Indoor Football A team should consist of 6 players and a reserve. Each half would last 5 minutes with a one min break in between. A penalty shoot-out will be held in the case of a draw. Events would be carried out on a knockout basis. Counter Strike A team should consist of 6 players Events would be carried out on a knockout basis. There would be 3 rounds per session. The first team to win 2 rounds would move onto the next session. Bowling Each team should consist of 4 members Events would be carried out on a first come, first serve basis Pool Each team should consist of 2 members Events would be carried out on a first come, first serve basis Badminton Separate participants should be entered for singles and doubles events. One match would consist of 3 games. Basketball Each game will consist of 2 halves which will each be 7 minutes long. There would be a one minute break in between games Finals consist of 4 quarters which will each be 5 minutes long.
General Rules
Day 1- Participants can take part in a maximum of 3 events. Day 2- Participants taking part in Football would not be able to take part in bowling. Participants taking part in Pool would not be able to take part in Video Games. Participants taking part in Quest would not be able to take part in any other event. Day 3- Participants can only take part in a single event. Presidents are also reminded that this competition is strictly for Interactors, between the ages of 12 and 19. Each Interactor must produce his/her membership card at the start of each event. Failing to do so, will result in the immediate disqualification of the participant. If a non Interactor is found participating in an event: o In an individual event: the participant will be disqualified. o In a team sport: the entire team will be disqualified from the respective event. o For each non Interactor participating in Interaction, 10 points would be deducted per event from the schools final score. Schools that consist of both boys & girls are reminded that they cannot have any mixed teams but are allowed to bring in separate teams for boys and girls. The Signature of the Staff Advisor is compulsory and the applications will not be accepted without the signature. Rs. 100 will be charged from each Participant and Rs. 200 per participant for Excel World day games. This form will not be accepted without the payments. Deadline to hand over this application is Monday, 8th January 2012. Please use one entry form per competition and use the given forms for athletics & swimming. Make as many copies as you wish. Attach and submit the forms under your club name before the deadline. Clubs are encouraged to conduct stalls for the carnival on the 28th of January at the rate of Rs. 2000. Participants are reminded to maintain good discipline at all times. Participants of all 3 days should be present at the opening ceremony on Saturday, 28th January at 7.45 am at the Shalika Grounds with their membership cards. For further details please contact: Int.
