MeetUp – ANDROID MOBILE APPLICATION

The project MeetUp is a mobile application which can be used to find people with common
interests.
The users have to initially register on the app using an email address and then can set their
hobbies and interests which will enable them to browse a list of users with similar interests
and hobbies. The users can chat with any other user. The app also provides features such
as setting up a profile picture, a status, and a custom name.
The app has a list of 600+ interests, hobbies and activities. The users can change their
interests at any time.

MeetUp is an Android App for people seeking to connect with others who share common
interests, The app is for meeting new people and making lifelong friends - based on
common interests, it allows you to find and join people related to your own personal
interests, by creating account and choosing interests and hobbies. It searches the people
with the same interests and allows you to chat with and make friend. This project was
created by analysing each and every phase of the app. In this project, the main requirement
was to collects user’s data and his interests. Without this information the application cannot
process. Application was developed in such a way that it does not have any issues or crashes
when the user is using the application. This app helps people to connect with others who
enjoy the same activities.
The learning curve has improved after working on this project. We have developed a
significant knowledge of Android as well as Firebase.
