of surface on the drying time of watercolor paint. (Next Slide) Significance of the study, Paint has been used in almost everything we see today. The researchers wanted to conduct this kind of experiment to obtain the effects of water color paint on different surfaces; which leads to the bigger picture, the best kind of paint for a certain surface. (Next Slide) Elijah: The objectives of the study are, *read from screen*. (Next Slide) Problem statement, The purpose of the study is to determine if the kind of surface to be painted on affects the drying time of watercolor paint. (Next Slide) Hypothesis, The kind of surface to be painted on does not affect the drying time of watercolor paint. (Next Slide x2) Sam: These are the materials the researchers used, *read from screen* (Next Slide) Elijah: This is the procedure that was used. (Skim through Slides slowly) Basically, what the researchers did was they obtained a small amount of paint, 5 mL to be exact, and tested the paints evaporation time on 5 different surfaces, namely Wood, Illustration Board, Styrofoam, Short Bond Paper, and Plastic. (Next Slide) Sam: These are the variables. Independent Variable: Kind of surface,
Dependent Variable: Drying Time of watercolor paint, Controlled Variables: Kind of paint used, Amount of paint used, and environment of experimentation (Next Slide) Elijah: Here are some photos of the set-ups used, and of the experimentation. (Skim through Slides slowly) (Next Slide) Sam: These are representations of the data that was gathered. (Skim through Slides very slowly) (Next Slide) Elijah: The researchers found out that the kind of surface does affect the drying time of watercolor paint. The researchers got results that showed that there is a difference of over 100 seconds in the drying time of some surfaces, sych as wood and styrofoam. In fact, the watercolor paint did not even dry when tested on the Polyvinylidene plastic. (Next Slide) Sam: These are the sources of errors, *Read from screen* (Next Slide)
Elijah: The data the researchers obtained was sufficient, and has proven our hypothesis wrong. So, the researchers therefore concluded that the kind of surface to be painted on does affect the drying time of watercolor paint. (Next Slide) Sam: Here are recommendations for those who wish to pursue this study further, *Read from screen* (Next Slide)
Elijah: And these are the sources that were used for this study. (Skim through slides slowly) Sam: Thank you very much for listening to our presentation.
