All shapes will fall into one of two categories. Shapes are
either geometric or organic. Explain the difference between geomatric and organic
shapes. Provide learners with some examples.
ORGANIC: shapes, often wavy in appearance, that are similar to those found in
nature, such as plants, animals, and rocks. GEOMETRIC: any shapes and based on
math principles, such as a square, circle, and triangle.

Three-dimensional art:
3D: Has a round form, (height, breadth and volume). It is free standing. Examples:
Statues, sculptures, and carvings are all different types of three-dimensional art.
Recyclable Materials
Recyclable materials are materials that can be made into new things.
Some artists are concerned about the environment. They make use of non-polluting paints,
natural materials and waste materials. Waste materials such as cereal boxes, empty plastic
bottles, old clothes, and broken appliances can be used to make something new.
A Mask
Masks have been used since ancient times for reasons like protection, camouflage,
entertainment, storytelling, or for spiritual purposes. A mask is something that is normally
worn on the face, transforming the wearer and allowing the viewer's imagination to soar.
Masks are the perfect blend of art & craft, form & function. Masks are used in theatre and in
ritual in many cultures. The mask embodies a spirit who speaks for the whole community.
