WORKING INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATION OF COUNTER

MEASURING MACHINE (CMM)


 Procedure for Switch ON the Machine
o Clean the machine guide ways with IPA
o Switch ON the Air dryer wait for Temp 3°C
o Switch ON the Compressed Air and ensure the input air at 6 BAR.
o Switch ON online UPS
o Switch ON the Controller box.
o Switch ON the computer.
o Switch ON CMM Software
o Home the CMM ;_

 Procedure for Switch OFF the Machine


o Ensure the machine in safe position.
o Keep Probe Head in A90 BO Position
o Close the CMM Software.
o Switch OFF the Controller box.
o Switch OFF the computer.
o Switch OFF the Compressed Air.
o Switch OFF the Air dryer.

 Do’s and Don’t


1. Double door protection to be needed for CMM room to avoid dust and maintain temperature.
2. CMM Room Floor Should is with polyvinyl sheet flooring clean it daily with soap oil.
3. Maintain the room temperature 18 to 22 °C ,Air flow should not directly hit on the guide ways
4. Maintain dust free room
5. Provide the separate air compressor (Oil free recommended) and should be constantly
maintain the 7 bar pressure minimum at Compressor. CMM Machine Should have low
pressure indication to avoid air bearing + Servo Motor+ Servo Drive Unit damage or
Failure. Set Pressure ‐5 bar
6. Earth ‐Neutra l voltage found 0.85V AC. It should be maintain less than 0.8V and
monitor frequently .
7. Use Online UPS for controller and PC.
8. Clean the CMM guide ways daily with using IPA without touching the scale system.
9. Do not place the any component on the LH guide ways (Left Hand side of the CMM base).
10. Do not touch the machine while moving.
11. Do not adjust anything in the machine without know ledge of Haviss 3D Metrology Solution
12. Check daily the Refrigerated air dryer function Dew point temperature should be 3°c (Green
.Zone),Filter selection 5µ filter at the input air line of the Dryer & 0.1µ & 0.01µ at the out put
line of Dryer
13. Maintain Air Dryer properly . Drain the Filters Daily, replace filter element once in a year.
14. Before Calibration clean the Probe system , Stylus and Master Ball ensure the tightness.
15. Maximum 3 Person can handle the Machin e.
16. CMM Room should not have any holes for Rat Entry, avoid eating materials inside the Room.
17. Anti Virus Software to be installed in the CMM PC for protection.
18. USB ‐Pen Drives should not used in the PC.
19. Avoid Shoes and Chapels inside measurement Room.
20. Before start the measurement , component should be soaking in the CMM room 1
hour before measurement.
