Text Mining
Text mining is the process of exploring and analyzing large amounts
of unstructured text data with the aid of software that can identify concepts,
patterns, topics, keywords and other attributes in the data. It is also known as text
analytics, although some say there is a difference between the two terms; with
that view, text analytics refers to the application that uses text mining techniques
to sort through data sets.
Text mining, or text data mining, is the process of converting unstructured text
into a structured form in order to identify meaningful patterns and gain new
insights. Using advanced analytics techniques such as Naïve Bayes, Support Vector
Machines and other deep learning algorithms, companies explore and discover
new hidden relationships in their unprocessed text data.
3. Data Mining
Data mining can be described as looking for patterns in unstructured data. It can
be viewed as the extraction of hidden data. Data mining tools can be predict
different behaviors and future trends. It allows companies to make positive,
knowledge-based decisions. Data mining tools can be used to answer business
questions.
4. Information Retrieval
Information retrieval is considered as an extension to document retrieval. That
means the documents that are returned are processed to condense. This
document retrieval is followed by a text summarization stage which focuses on
the query posed by the user. IR systems also help to narrow down the set of
documents that are relevant to a particular problem. Text mining involves
applying very complex algorithms to large document collections also, IR can speed
up the analysis significantly by reducing the number of documents.

BENEFITS OF TEXT MINING
Improves Decision-Making
Text mining can help improve decisions' accuracy and reliability by
providing organizations with access to relevant data and insights. By
uncovering hidden patterns and trends in large datasets, text mining can
help organizations to make data-driven decisions that are based on real-
time insights.
Improve Customer Experience
Text mining can also be used to analyze customer feedback and identify
areas for improvement in customer experience. By using text analysis to
identify customer pain points and preferences, organizations can take
action to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Improve Predictive Analytics
Text mining can also be used to enhance predictive analytics by uncovering
hidden patterns and trends in large datasets. By using text analysis to
identify trends and correlations, organizations can make more accurate
predictions and forecasts.
