What Is This Module About?
The best part about Excel is, that it can apply to many business tasks,
including statistics, finance, data management, forecasting, analysis, tracking
inventory & billing, and business intelligence. Persons who know anything about
microsoft excel spreadsheet application will make them more aware of their
usefulness and may use them in their daily lives and help them cope with the
different situations, especially in times of pandemic that we are suffering today.

Let’s Study and Analyze
In today’s world, technology plays a crucial role in nearly every aspect of our
lives. One of the topics that needs to be learned is Spreadsheet applications which
are widely used in various files of learning purposes due to their ability to organize
and analyze data. In this module, the steps on how to open a new blank workbook,
the steps in opening existing spreadsheet document, and the steps on how to close
a spreadsheet are discussed.

see icon to pop-up.

Glossary
Fill Handle It’s a small dot present in the lower right corner of the
active cell.
Formula Bar The formula bar is an input bar, below the ribbon. It
shows the content of the active cell, and you can also
use it to enter a formula in a cell.
Title Bar The title bar will show the name of your workbook,
followed by the application name (“Microsoft Excel”).
File Menu The file menu is a simple menu like all other
applications.
Worksheet Tab This tab shows all the worksheets which are present in
the workbook.
