ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
SCHOOL YEAR 2023-2024
BACKGROUND OF THE CLUB The Sports Club (SPOC) was founded officially during
the school year 2016 - 2017.
PURPOSE OF THE CLUB The club strives to cultivate a sense of belonging and
friendship among its members, creating a supportive
network where individuals can forge lasting connections
and share their enthusiasm for the sport. By organizing
community outreach events and collaborations with
local sports organizations, the club also seeks to spread
awareness about the benefits of physical activity and
inspire others to lead active and fulfilling lifestyles.
PEOPLE INVOLVE IN THE CLUB Participants in the club are bonafide students of Digos
City Senior High School who are interested in the field
of sports. Following the selection process
(pasiCLUBan); the club currently comprises 173
students who were admitted during school year’s
screening on September 1, 2023.
The Sports Club (SPOC) was founded officially during the school year 2016 - 2017.

community outreach events and collaborations with local sports organizations, the club also seeks to spread
awareness about the benefits of physical activity and inspire others to lead active and fulfilling lifestyles.
We, the Sports Club Officers, are excited to announce the reopening of our doors to welcome students who
share our passion for sports and community. Our mission is to foster a love for athletics and teamwork, and we
eagerly anticipate your enthusiastic participation. Your support and involvement will make a significant
difference in the growth and success of our club.
We look forward to your positive response and to the energy and spirit you will bring to our team. Together, we
can achieve great things and create memorable experiences through sports. May your dedication and enthusiasm
inspire others and lead to a successful and fulfilling journey with the Sports Club. Play on, and may your efforts
be blessed with success and joy!

Our Vision is to be the leading voice at the intersection of academics and athletics. We aim to improve athletes'
lives and uphold the highest ethical standards in the industry by uniting, challenging, and inspiring future
leaders.
Our mission is to enhance the physical and mental health of current and former athletes, advance sports-specific
research, educate sports professionals, and use sports as a tool for positive social change.
The Sports Club of Senior High School in Digos City aims to foster mutual understanding through social,
intellectual, and sports and recreational programs and activities.
a. Creative Collaboration: We seek interdisciplinary connections and work together to develop innovative
solutions to challenges in the sports sector.
b. Responsibility: We are dedicated to the well-being of athletes, both physically and mentally.
c. Forum: We provide a platform for open discussion, allowing everyone to share ideas and address issues
affecting the sports industry and society.
d. Empowerment: We support athletes in gaining the knowledge and skills needed to positively impact others.
e. Passion: We approach our work with the same enthusiasm that athletes have for their goals and supporters
have for their teams.

The Sports Club will not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, religion, color, age, sexual orientation, national
origin, citizenship, gender, physical or mental ability, marital status, or financial or social status.
a. Members wishing to leave the club voluntarily must submit a signed letter stating they accept that all club
insurance and benefits will end upon departure and must provide reasons for leaving.
b. The Club Officers and Committee can expel a member if deemed in the club’s best interest. The member can
appeal this decision according to the Complaints Procedure.
c. Members who resign or are expelled are not entitled to claim any assets or income from the club.
a. Members must adhere to club rules regarding misconduct. The suspension or expulsion decisions must be
strictly followed to be valid.
b. If a member is convicted of an offense that renders them unfit for membership, they may be suspended or
expelled without a hearing, if the rules allow.
c. Members must receive a written notice with at least three days' notice for a hearing, detailing the charges and
allowing them to speak and present witnesses.
d. Serious cases may result in exclusion from the club until the hearing.
e. If a member fails to attend a scheduled hearing without a reasonable excuse, they may be dealt with in their
absence after a second notice.
a. Complaints about misconduct should be submitted in writing to the Club Secretary or a Club Officer if the
complaint involves the Secretary.
b. The Club Secretary will evaluate complaints for validity and dismiss any frivolous ones. Valid complaints
will be investigated, and a Disciplinary Panel will be appointed.
c. The Disciplinary Panel will review the complaint, offer the accused a chance to respond, and may temporarily
suspend the member. They can impose various penalties if misconduct is confirmed.
d. Appeals against the Disciplinary Panel’s decisions must be submitted in writing to the Club Secretary, stating
the grounds for the appeal.
e. The Club Secretary will acknowledge the appeal, and if there are sufficient grounds, an Appeal Panel will be
formed.

f. The Club Secretary will inform all parties of the Appeal Panel’s members, and objections to the panel can be
raised.
Article V: Membership
Section 1. Membership is open to all bona fide Senior High School students in Digos City who choose to join
the Sports Club.
Section 4. Members may leave the club voluntarily by following the Exit, Suspension, and Expulsion Policy
outlined in Article III, Section 2.
Section 5. Members may be expelled for misconduct as described in Article III, Section 2. Decisions on
suspension or expulsion require a vote. Appeals can be made as per the procedures in Article IV, Section 3.
Section 1. Eligibility
a. The Sports Club SHSDC/SPCSHSDC will have at least one adviser from the faculty, administration, or staff
of the Senior High School in Digos City, who must not be on leave during their term.
Section 2. Duties
a. The adviser must attend and participate in meetings and activities, sign forms related to scheduling and
funds, and fulfill other advisory responsibilities.
Section 1. The organization will be led by a Board of Officers, Chairpersons, and Committees, including:
a. President: The highest authority, representing the club, leading meetings, signing documents, and approving
activities.
b. Vice President: Assists the President and replaces them in their absence.
c. Senior & Apprentice Secretary: Maintains minutes and documents. The Apprentice assists and replaces the
Senior Secretary if needed.
d. Senior & Apprentice Treasurer: Manages finances and oversees disbursement. The Apprentice assists and
replaces the Senior Treasurer if needed.
e. Senior & Apprentice Auditor: Ensures proper use of resources and reviews financial records. The
Apprentice assists and replaces the Senior Auditor if needed.

f. Senior & Apprentice Public Information Officer: Shares information about the club and its activities. The
Apprentice assists and replaces the Senior Public Information Officer if needed.
g. Chairpersons: Oversee effective planning and execution of meetings and events, ensuring adherence to the
constitution and efficient management of committee tasks.
Section 2. Members eligible for any position must: a. Be in Grade 11 to be elected Vice President. b. Not hold a
major position in another club. c. Demonstrate good moral character. d. Not have been subject to disciplinary
action.
The Board of Officers, Chairpersons, and Committees will meet every two months or more frequently if
necessary.
Special meetings require a quorum and will only address the specific business for which they were called.
Section 3. Quorum
A quorum for legal transactions consists of the higher elective officers of the Sports Club.
Section 4. Members must be notified of meetings at least two days in advance, including details on time, place,
and agenda. For urgent issues, notifications can be sent electronically a day prior, and decisions can be made via
electronic surveys, to be confirmed at the next meeting.
Section 5. Decisions are made by a simple majority vote of the present members.
Article X: Impeachment
Section 2. The officer will be suspended during the investigation by the Club Disciplinary Panel.
Section 3. If found unfit for the position, the officer will be impeached upon the Disciplinary Panel’s decision,
which is final.
Section 1. Amendments to the Constitution and By-Laws must be approved by a two-thirds majority of the
general membership at a meeting called for this purpose.
