INTRODUCTION
(c) For research involving experimental work and if at the concerned organization,
appropriate facilities are not available, the candidate will be allowed to carry out research
work at NFSU.
ADMISSION PROCESS
In general, the Ph.D. programme entrance test syllabus shall consist of 50% of research
methodology and 50% domain specific questions. Students who secure 50% marks in
the entrance test are eligible to be called for the interview. A relaxation of 5% marks will
be allowed in the entrance examination for the candidates belonging to
SC/ST/OBC/differently abled category, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and other
categories of candidates as per rule.
University reserves the right to decide the number of eligible students to be called for an
interview based on the number of Ph.D. seats available.
The interview process shall be conducted through Ph.D. Evaluation & Admission
Committee (PEAC). The Ph.D. Evaluation & Admission Committee (PEAC) shall conduct
formal interview on domain specific areas evaluating each candidate’s subject
knowledge and motivation for research.
The candidates fulfilling any one of the following conditions will be exempted from
university entrance examination:
i) Candidates who qualify GATE/GPAT/SET/NET/JRF or similar national level
test within validity period.(As decided by University).
ii) International Students: Students/candidates from any other country with a requisite
qualifications and valid passport/visa or from Indian Council for Cultural Relations
(ICCR) fellowship awardees.
iii) Professional category applicants will be exempted.
