Structure = does the blog have a clear introduction, middle and conclusion, OR is it just a
stream of information? does the blog start with a “hook”? something like “did you ever
wonder how…?” what is the main message of the blog? Does the information in the middle
follow from the questions/hook posed in the intro? Does the conclusion resolve the
question(s)/hook and synthesize the evidence and analysis provided into 1 or 2 sentences?
Does the title communicate the take home message of the blog?

thoroughness
8 = structure, analysis and evidence categories achieved, concepts are correct,
presentation is clear, no major or frequent errors, minor improvements would improve
communication and thoroughness
7 = structure, analysis and evidence categories are approaching expectations, work is
needed to improve style, communication, and thoroughness
6 = all 4 categories are attempted but more than one category needs work to meet
expectations
≤5 = incomplete and/or not at university level
