Software Engineer II

The Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our team. You will work on complex
software development initiatives, with an emphasis on Python programming. The ideal
candidate will have sound technical capabilities along with positive teamwork,
communication and interpersonal aptitudes. 4-5 years of professional experience
developing in Python and the Django web framework, along with experience working
with Postgres databases. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking and
communication skills in order to collaborate cross-functionally to design, build, and
maintain complex large-scale software applications and systems. This position can be
remote based out of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Responsibilities

● Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve web-based software applications
using Python, Django, PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

● Participate in planning sessions and provide estimates on features, schedules,


budgets, technical debt, and resource requirements

● Identify production issues through post-deployment monitoring and help troubleshoot


and resolve them

● Coordinate with other teams such as product management, designers, QA


engineers, data engineers, etc. to deliver high-quality products

● Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers

● Keep up-to-date with latest technologies and trends in areas like cloud-native
application development, DevOps/site reliability engineering, software testing
automation, observability, and security best practices

Education & Experience

● 4-5 years of professional software development experience

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field Requirements

● Proficiency with Python and the Django web framework


● Hands-on experience developing PostgreSQL schemas and writing SQL queries

● Solid understanding of common design and architectural patterns

● Experience working in an Agile environment with test-driven development


methodologies

● Excellent analytical and debugging skills

● Flexible team player willing to pitch in where required across the development
lifecycle

● Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications

● Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architectures

● Cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) development experience

● CI/CD automation expertise with tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes etc.

● Data structure, algorithm design and analysis skills

● Passion for writing clean, maintainable code

● Knowledge of software engineering best practices and design principles

We have budgeted $60k annual salary.The employee will be eligible for the perks listed
